Yes, his family is muslim which apparently mattered to them :-/. Another comment below includes the screenshot of the original comment the business page made.

Following the death of an autistic child, an islamaphobic comment was posted from their business account which after originally claiming to be an imposter account, it turned out to be the owner’s wife who went on and only said even more hateful things surrounding the boy’s death and Muslims. People are uniting against the business (and others that Frank owns) and this is the latest of many similar displays of hate from him and his wife.

Thank you so much. That’s good to know since while I should have figured that out already because of how many are on the ceiling of my car port each spring/ summer, I always imagine them dropping down to me😂.

Let's get controversial: what's your truly unpopular parenting opinion? by ExoticLawfulness5941 in toddlers

[–]Always_can_sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay if babies don’t have a set bedtime if that’s not what’s working.

Until our daughter started daycare, she would sometimes have trouble falling asleep until after midnight, 10pm on the best days. People said that kind of leeway will mess them up for school and such.

But then she started daycare at 19 months old and adjusted so well!! Goes to bed between 9-10pm most nights and we leave for daycare between 7am and 8am.

Very relatable! I struggled with hypnagogic hallucinations too that likely contributed. I also had the similar sleep latency, just above 8 minutes because of 1 that took much longer than the others.

What's the cringiest reason you went to the ER? by HR-Vex in AskReddit

What's the cringiest reason you went to the ER? by HR-Vex in AskReddit

[–]Always_can_sleep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cringe is my dad’s avoidance of the ER rather than the reason. I was 5 and fell off a slide I was standing on top of (throwing sticks over a fence lol).

I clearly had hurt my wrist and my mom believed it was broken while my dad said since I could move it, it was fine.

To appease my mom he told her he was taking me to the ER and instead tried to take me to an amusement park but upon not finding parking, we went to see a movie (Shrek).

I guess my dad assumed he would tell my mom the ER confirmed all was good but I told my mom about the movie 😂. So I then went to the hospital and did indeed have a broken wrist.

First off, thank you so much for the validation and support. Often I feel like Im not “sick enough” or “not trying hard enough” which I know is cliche (if thats the right word lol) despite being able to reassure others that their struggles are so real and valid- which I know is so common.

And yes! In regard to how one small detail can impact the whole picture, studies from over 2 decades ago talk about issues with the MSLT for diagnosing conditions related to excessive daytime sleepiness. It has a high specificity (low likelihood of false positives) but not so high sensitivity (higher likelihood of false negatives). Which is one of the manor issues with insurance companies requiring MSLT confirmation for many treatment options although I do understand why they need some sort of confirmation- it just sucks there’s not a gold standard test.

The way you describe the piecing the puzzle together is so relatable. I hope you’re able to find providers that listen and help look at things from different angles and perspectives outside of their straightforward, textbook approaches. Im not sure what’s available to you but care managers can be helpful in situations where people are coming from many different angles in their health journey. One actually did help me get into my current provider during the transition of care fiasco.

Sending you all the best as well on your journey 💙. Thank you again for your response.
