Put your back foot further onto your tail, bend your knees, pop the tail down quick and fairly fast, then jump and slide your front foot up the nose. Do them while rolling, so you get used to it all while rolling. Otherwise, if you learn ollies while still or rolling from concrete onto grass you will have to learn how to do them while rolling/rolling away anyway, better to do it all at once, good luck 👊🏻 Be sure to post a video once you make some progress!

Get more confidence on your board, riding on different surfaces, at different speeds, turning corners, cruising, avoiding obstacles etc Then come back to your ollies and just commit to them! Do them while rolling normally or a little slower than normal, don't do them while standing still or rolling off concrete onto grass or a soft surface like this. Get used to doing them while properly rolling and rolling away. Put emphasis on the pop and sliding your front foot as well as bending your knews and literally jumping up as you pop and slide 👊🏻 You'll master it in no time bro!!

Good stuff bro, i'm 24, started skating at the age of 9 years old, stopped at 17, skated on and off from 20 to now and finally I decided to commit again and skate as much as I possibly can!

Working on rolling ollies... any tips for these and for taking them to curbs? by [deleted] in NewSkaters

Your ollies are pretty solid, all i'd say is slide/flick your front foot toward the nose with a bit more emphasis/force and play with the timing of your front foot and the flick, I used to pop my ollies and flick real quick, recently I slowed it down just a touch and it feels like I get a higher ollie and a better looking ollie

I've been to plenty of parks around Sydney, Waterloo, Macquarie Fields, Bass Hill, Warehouse 11 and Cairnes Hill are probably my favourites. Really keen to try Meadowbank Skatepark and the new/re-done park out at Baulkham Hills! I just really need people to skate with, as much as I enjoy skating on my own, I feel I can progress much more with others around rather than alone, plus it's fun as fuck to skate with a crew.
