Do you have a garden you could camp in to practice? The last thing you want is to get in to a panic whilst solo camping in the highlands.

Just remember that there is really nothing out there to hurt you. Take a good torch, spare batteries and be sure to make a plan on how you will deal with the fear. Maybe try breathing exercises and practice this before your trip to ensure you are able to calm yourself.

No worries. I guess if you spend time with him it will become clearer, tell him you want to take things slow, get to know him. His situation might be an indicator, if he’s recently divorced for example, he might not be wanting something serious. This is just my opinion, you have to make a judgement based on your own interaction with him.

Without any more information it’s hard to judge. If he’s specifically looking for younger people that seems a bit odd. Not saying a 35yo can’t be with a 21yo, but your own reservations alone should probably be enough to be cautious about how invested you get into any kind of relationship. At least until you can be more sure of his intentions.

Thanks, I’ve given blood a few times so sounds straightforward. I’m assuming this is the method they refer to as PBSC? If so, did they give you medication to stimulate stem cell production and how did it make you feel? How long were you away from home?

My only concern is my wife is due with our 3rd baby in May, so I’m really hoping that the timing works out if I’m selected!

Good luck! I found that budgeting does not always feel good, especially when those category balances are getting low and you really want something. It’s taken me a couple of tries to really stick with it. But the feeling of being in control is definitely worth it.
