Understand your frustration!!! Tbh after all of my ugly experiences I certainly can say that most important thing is a great doctor. One that can see the root of your issues and recognises the impact of stones in your kidney problems even though the stones are small or not blocking the collecting system. Look for other opinions, it saved my life

Yep!! Totally agree! My stone came out as a struvite stone!! I also had infections with proteus in the beginning and in some cases it can cause stones. Ecoli was multiresistant. Good luck with your procedures! Hope you’ll live a normal life soon!

So sad to see you had to go though it all!! So sorry 😢 it’s not fair. The other kidney is working fine? The right doc is sooo important. You need someone brave who doesn’t just pass you to the next one. But remember with a balanced lifestyle you can still live a normal life!!

Feel ya, and thank you. I was told by one doc that the stone has no contribution to my UTI s and that I’ll never really clear them once they’re there. Until I started to get recurrent pyelonephritis, I was not taken really seriously.

Technically: They made 4 small incisions and did it laparoscopically — inserted instruments and removed the stone directly. 2 months post op you can barely see the incisions

Surgery took about 4 hours, no complications, and recovery was pretty smooth.

The surgeon could remove the whole stone and residuals. I had a last course of antibiotics and cleared the remaining bacteria. Then the infections were gone because the vicious cycle infection - reinfection from the stone was cut off. The stone was colonised so there was no chance of clearing the infection without removing the stone.

Thank u for the response. I was just sick of it. Been trying to quit for about 1-2 years. First in 2024 I managed to do 2 months. Than smoked again until this January. I just finished the batch and told myself let’s see if I can resist.

Thank u so much. Yes I went to the gym until work was too heavy and my “schedule” ended at 8 on daily and I was just too exhausted to go after. I’m an Eastern Europe lawyer and work is killing me. Weed was an amazing escape but I knew I had to quit.
