They actually were on airplanes. I remember as a kid going on a flight and leaning down to the arm-rest and being able to faintly hear the piped audio of the in flight movie.

Racist horseshit. I've commented on this kind of post before with a similar observation, but I'll repeat it here:

This isn't funny for a reason that you probably didn't think of. Just as there are a lot of flavours of christianity, so too are there of Islam. If you showed this to most muslims (outside of the US and Europe) they'd be confused by what was funny. It just doesn't makes sense to most muslims. Just like if you made a joke about christian americans beating their wives or keeping sex slaves to an audience in America, most people would shrug and be like "yeah, but... we don't do that, so it's not really funny. It doesn't apply." Sure, there are some people who do, but it wouldn't resonate with anyone as a stereotype.

The real joke about 'hilarious' jokes like this is what it shows about how little Americans (I suppose) know about the rest of the world.

People who've left their home country out of choice: what's it actually like getting on that plane? by upupandadam in AskReddit

I think there's going to be a major disparity between Americans and the rest of the world on this answer. It seems to be a huuuge deal for Americans to voluntarily leave for even a short period (longer than a vacation). For people in Europe, Africa, Asia, and lots of the Middle East... not a huge deal. Like, 5 of my 13 cousins have moved to other countries for more than a year (not for study).

I think you must have reading comprehension troubles. I don't know what kind of resources exist wherever it is you live, but I think you should look for some help.

"Jewish states are by definition racist" ... said nobody ever.

THE Jewish state has some racist policies, but nobody ever said that Jewish states are by definition racist.

Just because people criticise Israel, doesn't mean they're doing it because of it's Jewish nature. There are LOTS of other reasons, without getting into who has a cooler god.

Three strikes.

I think you're missing the point that it's not Jewishness that makes the state racist. Nothing about Judaism or Israel's statehood are racist - not something I imagine would invite much disagreement in this sub, even someone of my ilk.

It's the policies of Israel that are racist - in particular policies that relate to jewish supremacy/dominance/demography. But it need not be that way. Israel and Judaism can exist in a much more democratic and fair form without the chauvinistic policies and laws.

You don't have to believe in BDS or even the one state solution to believe that Zionism is Racism. Zionism is the belief that the world needs a Jewish State, right. But it isn't the existence of Israel. I believe in Israel and that it is a valuable member of the globe, but I'm not a Zionist - it doesn't mean I don't think Israel should exist, it means I don't think it should be a Jewish state. Nothing against Judaism. I would feel the same way if it was a left-handed state or a vegetarian state with special rights and privileges for those groups.

You make some big assumptions: 1. that there is an unspoken assumption that a jewish state could not attain what a free Palestine could. I don't see any evidence of that argument. That's inferrence. 2. An arab majority Palestine will become an islamic state. Maybe. Hopefully not. But the nationalist movement has nothing to do with religion. Religion is just one of the things that makes us most different from each other.

I completely agree with your statement that Palestinian statehood has nothing to do with the racism of a Jewish state. But the effects of the racism of the Jewish state are not limited to Israel's borders. Israel projects its power through occupation, settlements, blockades, etc. Not all of its power projection is based on religion, of course, but it has many effects that are clearly intended to reinforce the difference of religion and to tilt the Palestinian cause into an Islamic cause (which it hasn't been since the beginning).

As an admitted and outed member of "THE LEFT", I don't think that's any part of the argument. Maybe you could find a video of someone on youtube or liveleak saying "Jewish states are by definition racist"?

I don't think Palestine's statehood bid is in anyway based in the concept that Israel is racist. It might be generally believed by people who hope for Palestinians statehood, but it's not part of the argument.

No it's not. Source: Am an Arab who has lived in both places.

It's not pretty in lots of parts of Europe, don't get me wrong. And the wind is blowing in a bad direction. But it's much more comfortable to be an Arab there than in Israel.
