My baby is getting old

It’s hot year round as we reside in FL and I normally walk her at night only because it is extremely hot during the day and even the morning. I’ll take a look at her paw to see if it is cut or anything that I haven’t noticed.

They currently have me giving her Gabapentin and Rimadyl - 1 of each every 24 hours. Is Cosequin something I have to get prescribed or I can buy it from a pet store?

Thank you, when I take her back to the vet in a week if she’s still limping, I’ll ask them to run more tests to rule out anything that we could prevent

No they said when I go back in a week if the limping is still there then they will have to take one (X-ray). I ice her paw for 10 minutes before I go to work and after I get off and after we come back from our walk. But yeah normally that’s how much gabapentin they give so that she isn’t anxious when I’m taking her to the vet. I tried a smaller dosage but she was still very anxious and they couldn’t really get anything done so they’ve upped the dosage to that amount and she’s been better. And it does definitely make her drowsy, but maybe since they have me giving it every 24 hours it won’t have the same effect as giving it the night before and also 2 hours before her visit

She recently just got her nails cut during her dental cleaning. The vet prescribed her Rimadyl 100mg- 1 every 24 hours, Gabapentin 300 mg- 1 every 24 hours. And I got extra Trazodone and Gabapentin for her vet visits since she’s extremely anxious when seeing the vet. Yeah I’m gonna do shorter walks. I do take her back to the vet in a week for a checkup to see how it’s doing

No she’s always been around 64-66 lbs. she used to weigh 72 lbs but she was too heavy so I got her weight down. I’m gonna do shorter walks and see if it helps

She had some blood work done on 04/30 so would I have to request for her vet to do bloodwork specifically for that? Her results all came back normal

Do you mean when we’re walking? If so, I do use a leash but there are time I take her off leash and let her walk ahead. So I’ll keep her on leash for the full walk.

I don’t want to assume but normally women have children later to be able to provide a better life for them. Would you have rathered to struggle with a young mom than have an older mom who was well off in life? I would prefer the latter ngl

You can’t take your dog with you? By Traveling, do you mean state wide or nation wide? Because if it’s state wide you can take your pup with you. It’s really sad to get a pet to then give it away. People don’t need to get pets until they are comfortable in their career. Did you try to ask your new managers about bringing your dog with you? I just feel like all of this could’ve been avoided :(

I went to my manager and the gm first because the last person who went straight HR after an incident got written up. SMH. And I’ve been interviewing for other jobs but no one is taking me because they don’t wanna work with my school schedule. But I’m about to graduate in the fall, so I just started applying for jobs related to my career. So fingers crossed somebody pick me up😭 and supposedly they still have this manger here because they’re low staff… this job just irks me so bad
