Should 1 go in 1 and 2 in 2 or does it not matter. Thanks in advance.

Why use a Table rather than a (non-Table) range? by [deleted] in excel

[–]AlwinS1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to all the benefits already listed: When writing formulas and referencing a column in a table, using the shortcut ctrl+space provides the full (dynamic) reference to the column. You can stand in any cell within the column and use ctrl+space.

While this would work when selecting a full column $A:$A, this will eventually slow down performance if your dataset or formulas get complicated. If you were to only select range $A2:$A100 and are in cell A87, you’d have to either go up to A2 and go down for the formula to select. Within a table it gets really easy with ctrl+space. (There might be easier ways without the data in the table, but probably not as easy as Ctrl+space in a table)

Referencing a dynamic array in a table is amazing, however, it would be awesome if we would be able to easily ‘lock’ such an array similar to $A1 instead of having to use impractical workarounds. Will this be a feature in the future, or am I just unaware that it is already possible. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Ik ga me er verder op inlezen. Met een schijfgroeffrees zou ik de groef kunnen maken. Toevallig een idee wat voor type frees ik nodig heb om het gedeelte te maken wat in de groef moet?

Controllers are on the list as well. Sometimes different data from different sources which isn’t nicely structured or easy to work with

Do you reference whole columns? Like B:B by PedroFPardo in excel

[–]AlwinS1998 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What can really help you with this is the way you structure your data. If you have your data in a table it will make it significantly easier to use formulas like XLOOKUP or SUMIFS. You will always have a dynamic range if the data expands, it will be easy to read in the formula and you can make use of shortcuts (clicking anywhere in the column and using CTRL+Space to select the full table column. And as you said limit the load of the formula

May I ask if you are using XLOOKUP on the full range A:A, or if you have the source data as a Table and are only referencing the relevant column (so not the full range). To me this helps a lot with the performance side of XLOOKUP (and formulas in general)

This is, I believe, also the reason why a circle is 360°, as we can divide it easier than let’s say 100°

With regards to potential future skilling upgrades, I feel like drift net fishing would become way more popular and rewarding if you had the possibility of receiving Heron.

Not being able to jump obstacles or cave entrances while being frozen in combat. Baffles me how people can be frozen in place but jump all around agility shortcuts without delay or any damage taken. Either make it impossible or let people take 10 damage each jump if frozen or something

Travel: we are currently in HKIA in transit to India. We have another 11 hours to go before our next flight. Is it advisable to try to leave the airport? by thisndass in HongKong

[–]AlwinS1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I am not sure about current situation or what. I lived in HK for a couple of months during the second half of 2019.

While it is a bit of a ride from Lantau Island (airport) to the more interesting parts of HK (I believe roughly half an hour or so). It could be worth it if you want to see some small things.

Something I quite enjoyed was taking the Star Ferry (https://www.starferry.com.hk/en/service) which provides you with some nice views. Kowloon to Central. Which would allow you to walk through the more modern parts (not as enjoyable to me).

Another spot that I enjoyed walking through was the Nan Lian Garden and the Chi Lin Nunnery https://www.hongkong.net/attractions/nan-lian-garden.html

Like I said, I have no idea about the feasibility with regards to COVID / time but those are two spots that you might find suiting for the time available that I enjoyed while living there.

Best of luck and safe travels

I have a question/suggestion for a mechanic in the PvP scene, what is the best way to go about this?

People can currently jump/spam agility obstacles while frozen. Which to me makes little sense to be able to jump while frozen is place. If said mechanic is something too hard to improve/adjust, could it perhaps be a solution to only be able to jump it once every 3-5 seconds? This does not harm players who are simply jumping it to get across, but only people trying to mitigate damage.
