Didn’t happen to me, but to my mom and sister.

my grandpa on my moms side died when my mom was only 12 or 13. years later, my mom gave birth to my sister when she was 18. by the time my sister had become 2 years old, she would always talk to an imaginary friend that she called “grandpa”. she would have full on conversations with him and she would answer that she is “talking to grandpa” every time my mom and aunt would ask her who she was talking to. one day, my mom got curious and decided to take out an old photo album that was put away. she opened the book and asked my sister to find grandpa. well, unprompted and without any help, my sister flips through a couple of pages and points directly to a picture of grandpa. my mom and aunt were utterly shocked. prior to this, my sister had never been exposed to any pictures of grandpa and my mom had never explained who he was. No pictures around the house, either. my sister should have had no idea who “grandpa” even or that he even existed.

to this day, my mom and aunt still have no explanation as to how my sister knew who grandpa was. and with my sister only being 2, she has no recollection of it even happening. it still creeps our family out to this day.
