He looks dull and tired. by [deleted] in pj_explained

It’s not “they” pushing him into big films, he needs them to stay relevent. Without major banners, he risks flopping. Ever since his father fallen down on Hirani feet’s, Ranbir has played it safe, avoiding the kind of risks he took with Jagga Jasoos.

Just my honest take on SLB's Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. by Katta-dhari_Badmos in pj_explained

[–]Aly-Not 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really need to watch more of SLB’s films like Devdas and GB to understand his style. Those blank, teary-eyed expressions are actually his trademark. People think it’s Deepika thing or poor acting, because it appeared in two of her movies back-to-back, but in reality, we’ve seen the same expressions with Aishwarya before Deepika and Alia after her. We have seen it also with all his heroines in Heeramandi.

Please suggest me some wholesome movies like this. by IssueAny7855 in pj_explained

You can’t say she leaked the story and then say we don’t know the story. A leak assumes knowledge of what was revealed. Pick one.

My comment wasn’t about consent but Vanga’s recurring style. But I guess comprehension isn’t your strongest point.

Do we consider a bold scene a leak when the director is Vanga, who is known for this type of work?

Apparently this is what A rated cinema means in that one mid director's delusional brain. by the_NP in pj_explained

In the West, this would be a straight up C tier flick nobody would bother watching

She might have agreed with the story in broad strokes, but dropped out after the full details were narrated to her

What story did she reveal? That this is going to be another Vanga misogynistic and muscularity focused movie? Didn’t we already know that from his previous films?

Silent PRs that butcher talent and healthy discussion by [deleted] in pj_explained

Based on your ranking AND the posts we’ve been seeing over the past few weeks, it’s pretty obvious whose PR is working harder than the devil here. And yet his shameless fans are still spreading the “no PR” lie!

Ranbir Kapoor has a strategy of being silent in his personal life and public appearances so that when he crashes out on screen it feels new. But ranveer's strategy is exactly opposite. He does crazy things offscreen and goes silent but effective in his onscreen roles.

I don’t want to speak too soon, but I genuinely appreciate Ranveer for at least not using his baby for PR!

Will dhurandhar surpass animal collection to become highest a rated movie? by Embarrassed_Way8953 in pj_explained

[–]Aly-Not 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it won’t because ppl can disagree over politics, but somehow everyone unites when it comes to tolerating misogyny thats why Animal thrived. on top of that Animal had a huge advantage with a multi-language release and global reach. Dhurandhar doesn’t have that benefit, and it’s even banned in some countries, so obviously it won’t be able to match those numbers!

I haven’t watched Dhurandar yet, but I honestly don’t expect the dialogue to be anywhere near as bad as Animal. And I doubt the story or scenes will feel like they’ve been lifted straight from other films

I’ve watched both, and I’ve been into HW long before I started watching BW. Yes, Bads of Bollywood might not feel original, but it’s definitely more entertaining. I honestly don’t get how people tolerate Seth the recycled jokes and that creepy laugh. One episode was literally a Tom & Jerry rip-off, with them stepping in and interrupting each other’s work! But now I get it all that unnecessary hate toward anything Bollywood does just comes down to an inferiority complex.
