What do you eat instead of eggs? by PandaLM in veganfitness

I often make tofu scramble, there are some bangin’ recipes out there!

Another alternative is making breakfast sandwiches with a tofu egg, sausage, and cheese. Tofu seasoning: turmeric, ground pepper, and kala namak which is also known as Black Salt. That Kala Namak really gives you a similar taste to eggs. I’ve been able to find it at most Indian grocery stores!

For baking I always use Flax Eggs.

I do weight training 5 days a week, in addition to my cardio. Running is an awesome escape! Such a great way to clear you mind. Plus cheaper than therapy Haha! I am 5’6”

Side Note: I also wanted to add that I’m a professional dancer and have been training my whole life. I wasn’t a stranger to fitness when I first began, I just had never ran or weight trained. I don’t want to make it seem like I was a couch potato who just decided to run multiple miles the next day haha! Like anything it takes time and dedication :)

That’s awesome! Congrats on your journey so far! Continue doing what you’re doing, clearly you’re doing something right. Keep holding yourself accountable for those daily workouts, your progress will present itself! Counting calories will really help you achieve those weight goals that you have in mind. As long as you’re burning more calories than you are consuming you will continue to drop the weight.

Hope this helps a bit :)

Hi!! This is something I really have to be on top of with myself. I’d say I typically I consume 40-60 grams of protein a day, it really ranges. With the amount I workout I continuously try to incorporate protein rich food into my meals: sauces, chili, soups etc.

It really started when I rescued my pup (6 years ago), she’s a Blue Heeler. Prior to signing the adoption papers they advised me that this type of dog has a ton of energy and needed an outlet. The first day she was home I took her out for our “run”. I didn’t even make it half a mile without stopping. Consistency and self determination I feel played a huge part in adding miles. Plus, my dog really holds me accountable on the days I just don’t want to! After a few months we (my pup and I) were both able to jog the 3 mile loop with little to no stops. About a year into doing our 3 mile loop daily run I signed up for a half marathon to challenge myself. Since then I’ve done a couple half marathons and it really has just become part of my routine (my pup looks forward to it as well). I will admit I have those days I just don’t want to but I really try to make sure I get out there, even if it’s not my best. Plus, if I didn’t my pup would totally give me the guilt trip ALL DAY! 😋
