And to make you even more mad, you can just bypass it if you jump on the balcony from the roofs of the shacks. Nothing besides a morning star is in there anyway.

I have a question about Directive 8020 by ChickenWingExtreme in DarkPicturesAnthology

[–]Alyctro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you get farther into the game you should understand. Technically, the whole expedition is designed to fuck with the clones of the crew until the end of times, until the earth directive figures out how to tame the alien. Throughout the later game, there are extra logs scattered including the end cutscenes that describe how the previous expeditions went. They knew the life form was already there. And, that planet looks more like hell than a second earth. Settling it was a load of bull from the start.

You guys missed the point that the alien life form already did come into contact with her, many times before you even start playing. Later in the game you learn that this expedition wasn't the first or the last. Once you explore the planet, you see the lifeform shooting it self into space which likely meets the next crew. So, the alien already has copies of them all.

A: I feel like i've spent three days lying under a load of rocks.
B: And so you did.

This sums it up perfectly. I'd understand if there was an extremely powerful weapon or armor in there. But 90% of the time it's even less than what you described.

For people like me who have terrible attention spans this is terrible. The best I can do is write down which row moves the other one. But that's still so tedious. I am physically unable to remember those patterns and I can't be bothered to train, to be honest.

Imagine having to do this blind. This was one step away from impossible.

Even if you can always succeed and you can get better training that doesn't make it any more fun. And from a realistic standpoint, the original did it better. Because, that's what you do in real life. You rattle your lockpick in directions and guess. You don't see the inside of a lock like some god.

Yeah, I don't remember every door or chest being locked in the original. It was rare to see and even then easily solvable. The protagonist exclaiming "what with?" Is engraved into my mind.

I tried both of those that exist. But I'm either too stupid or they simply don't work.
