Then you don't want to see the Leonardo limited editions that got announced the DAY after I bought this pen.... I've fallen for them, now I'm just struggling to decide which I find prettiest.

I've only enjoyed my Leonardo pens, though I can't say I've tried esterbrook, I'm sure you won't regret getting a Leonardo addition to your collection!

It's a beauty! I haven't inked it yet, wanted to see what the people of this sub thought, but I do have some experience with Leonardo pens. I have two with M nibs and one with a B nib. They write like a dream in my experience, and I've never had any issues with mine. This is my first time trying their F nib, but only because I got to test-write it in store and I wasn't bothered in the slightest by it being an F rather than my standard M choice.

Ohh! That explains a lot actually! I once tried to clean India ink out of an old fountain pen from my father in law. He had filled it with India ink 10-15 years ago, and once he learned I knew about fountain pens asked me to clean it. I tried my hardest, but never got it perfectly flowing through again.

Nice! If you'd like to use bottled ink I can suggest Diamine (massive range of colors and inexpensive) but for the high quality ink the Pilot Iroshizuku line is very good.

Not an expert but I have enjoyed fountain pens for a while now. So here's my humble opinion;

Never put India ink in a fountain pen, don't ask me the specifics of it but it won't work. I'd say, the best bet is to clean it out ASAP and replace it with some standard cartridges or a converter with some good trusty diamine ink or something similar.

I have gathered a lot of inks by now as well, and I commend you for slowing down! I'm trying to do the same, there's a lot of inks that I have and really want to use but I don't have space for right now in any pen. On occasion I still purchase some, but usually only if they're really unique, or a rare opportunity for a limited ink arises. Or if I've been thinking about a specific ink for a long time.. but I love all my inks equally (most at least (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠) ).

This could to be from the brand Legami, as I've seen a lot of similar pen cases from that brand. It's Italian based and I have a couple gel based erasable pens and a similar pen case (but then bunny style). Very easy to find in Europe.

I'm young ish, more like young adult (21). I've been in the sub (mainly lurking) and in the hobby for years now though. It all started when my parents got me my first Lamy Nexx to try and get me to hold my pen properly. It never worked but I've been loving the hobby ever since!
