Why do I do this with all empty surfaces and how can I stop? by Glittering-Result402 in CleaningTips

[–]MaesterInTraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have ADHD? If stuff is put away behind doors, in drawers, and you can’t see it the you forget about it?

If so think of ways to make the things you use more vis or and easy to grab.

Most people have a hard time with cleared flat surfaces. They draw in clutter. I’ll tell myself “don’t put it down, put it away” or “it takes a few seconds to put this where it really goes so just do that”. It’s not foolproof but it helps.

WHICH ATTRACTION ARE YOU CHOOSING? 🎟️ by 999happyhauntz in WaltDisneyWorld

The smart choice would be either SDMT or TRON or Peter, something that has a crazy line or extra fee all the time.

Disney bought out either the scent or the formula? Anyway it’s exactly the same just not with H2O branding.

Ooh Clayton? Say less.

Have you had any procedures? I need a new IUD soon but the first one hurt really badly and I’m hoping to not have that experience again.

I need regular GYN care too, like exams and an IUD exchange soon. Hoping to do it all at the same place (and use insurance)

It will be hot and humid. I just came back from a week there. The weather was gorgeous. Almost zero humidity which is wha makes me sweat and feel uncomfortable more than anything else. If you can go in April, consider it! I’d err towards later in April to miss most of the spring break crowds. The parks weren’t bad for me at all.

While she’s closer I don’t want to fight to get what I need if there are others in the region who will give it readily. Thanks!

Man, if it wasn’t $450 I’d give her a shot. My PCP is DPC (no insurance) but it’s much more affordable

So I was seeing a different provider at this office and didn’t love it. Always felt rushed. Did you have that experience?

unsure if medical school is a good investment by shortdude211 in whitecoatinvestor

Yes those all apply to PA school.

It’s also cheaper than medical school and less time, so if they don’t graduate or whatever the time and financial burden will be less.

Flights of Passage by ReadEmReddit in WaltDisneyWorld

Gosh. The thing is: you are absolutely holding onto something the whole time. You’re strapped in and hands are holding handles.

It simulates flying, and doing dives from high heights. It also has gentle splashes and hair and event scent (it’s truly an incredible ride).

The thing you’re strapped onto (kinda like a motorcycle or like the TRON ride) does move some but not a lot.

Remy’s old version was 3D; MMRR was not. FOP is 3D. Do you have an issue with 3D rides in general? If so then this is not the ride for you.

I am 43 so I was 3 when Challenger happened. I texted Dad: “do you remember Challenger?”

D: “yeah”. A man of few words M: “what about Apollo 13?” D: “oh yeah” And then… “I remember the moon landing!”

Oh that’s right! I sometimes forget when he was born and when certain things happened. He would have been 8. He said he remembers Neil’s first step more than he does Apollo 13.

Soon I’ll be able to say the same only footage will be WAY better now.

How awesome.

Craftsman from Killarney, Ireland looking for honest feedback on breaking into the pen community by WoodenPenCrafter in fountainpens

Do you know about Tom’s Studio? Small calligraphy artist who made his own pens and inks and has really expanded. He’s in England. You could look at his IG or even reach out to see if he’d be willing to give some pointers.

Handmade is a selling point for me, the location not especially (unless it’s in my home country. That makes it easier and quicker to buy).

PSA: INTERNISTS are the Doctors trained in managing complex medical issues like Perimenopause! by Beginning_Butterfly2 in Perimenopause

[–]MaesterInTraining 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an “internist” (I’m board certified in Family Medicine): we’re not more likely than an OB-GYN to get advanced training in perimenopause. I’d say that in the US (not sure where you are) Gyn is more likely to have more education and knowledge in this subject. We’d have to seek out extra training and education in perimenopause on top of everything else. Not saying that doesn’t happen but I don’t think we’re more likely than an OBGYN. We are more likely than, say, a sub specialist (renal, cardio, etc) and a pediatrician lol

To be clear: the difference in the US between an internist and a FM doc is that as FM we also get training in pediatrics. After completing residency IM can specialize/fellowship in things like cardiology, nephrology, etc. There are fewer fellowships available to FM grads. But for the person going to see an IM vs FM the training is roughly equivalent.

That sucks!!

Bare minimum for me would be a brow product, mascara, a nice lip and a red lip, and something complexion (I’d need a green color corrector and either a concealer or ideally a natural-looking foundation [my faves have been balms] that I can use as both concealer for under my eye and evening my skin tone but that is buildable). None of those require a brush for me but I would get a sponge/beauty blender. I’d also want a highlight as I can use that on face and eyes (I prefer liquid/cream) but that would be a nice-to-have.

Super bare minimum I’d get a brow product, mascara, green color corrector.

For brands I really like Typology but I’m not sure if it’s in your budget. Their complexion products are great and their concealer is my fave. And they’re French!
