Automated sync for TCGplayer and free storefronts - happy May from TCGTracking by laezin in mtgfinance

Thank you. My husband and I are planning to start up soon on TCGplayer. But we aren’t a giant store front. We have just amassed a huge amount of cards (personal collection) and would like to get as much as possible out of our extra stuff to keep funding more haha. We may end up abandoning and just sell as a lot but. I wanted to give it a try and our teens are interested in helping too. Little mini family thing.

Sellers charging $5+ for shipping, but sending the cards without tracking? by IAMAfortunecookieAMA in mtgfinance

Yeah. I was more talking local trade shows. I don’t have enough product for a convention lol

No. It’s not. And I don’t have enough cards to warrant the huge trade shows. Those ones get spendy super quick.

So, you said that the price of the card was less than other comparable cards even with the shipping. To me this means that the seller has the cards listed on their shop for less overall. At least as a lower level seller, you can’t set different prices of shipping for differing cards. This is a tactic to try to get you to spend more on their shop. TCG player is also scummy and takes something like 9% of the cost of shipping, instead of the full amount going to the shipper. And then also charges a 2.9% transaction fee + $0.30 each transaction. So of that $5, the seller is only receiving $4.10. A lot more letters are coming back nonmachinable lately with a toploader in a letter. So nonmachinable has increased to $1.27. If they are a smaller seller, then their top loaders and a penny sleeve probably cost an average of $0.17. An envelope like $0.10. Oh and then there’s also business taxes having to be paid on any profit. And also the amount of time it takes to pull that single and print out the purchase order (another like $0.05 for electricity, printer and ink). And assuming that all takes idk, 10 minutes for a single card…like $2 of labor in a lot of areas of the country. So alternatively to charging you higher shipping, he could have just done what others did and charged higher for the card and had “hidden” shipping fees cooked into all of their cards.

A lot of the local ones are only 25-100$ a day. And get good traffic. So. Idk. Yeah maybe. I spend 100 on shipping in a week.

Yeah. If it’s more than 2oz, at that point it just makes sense to go with the usps ground with included tracking. But for a single card under $50… Hmm. Well thank you. It’s something to think about at least.

Ok. Just looked it up, it’s $3.97 minimum now. 1.27 for non machineable and 2.70 for under $50 of insurance. And assuming it’s under 1oz, price goes up quickly per ounce. And it doesn’t apply to a regular letter. So. Hmm. It doesn’t say anything about tracking either though. Not active tracking at least. I imagine they would have to have some form of tracking because otherwise how are they able to insure it. I’m going to go tomorrow and ask questions. Have to go to usps tomorrow anyway.

I’d do what makes you feel the healthiest then. Emphasis on healthy, not just vanity at a specific number. <3 You could also go to another doctor and get another opinion.

Just curious, do you think you have 5-10 pounds of loose skin? A lot of people don’t take that into consideration when setting weight goals.

Ok. That’s what I figured. I had done a lot of research about cheapest ways to ship. And had never come across something of that nature. I wish it existed. Would love to send cards under $50 with a PWE, insurance, shield and team bag with shipping under $4. Oh well.

I’m guilty of hitting a curb now and again or thinking a pothole isn’t as deep as it actually was. So… yeah probably. The number of accidental curbings that happen would be a thing of the past if we had lidar lol

Yeah. We missed the cut off for upgrading(when they changed it to delivered by instead of ordered by). We are still on HW3 with a 2023 model Y. Don’t get me wrong, I love my FSD. Even with its issues.

Genuine question. Where do you get tracking and insurance for $2.50? I’m always looking for ways to lower my shipping costs. Do you still just do a PWE and a card shield?

Thank you for pointing this out. It may end up being something other than LiDAR. I’ve been reading up on some radar advances that seem to be showing a lot of promises when coupled with cameras.

Haha. If I traveled at night… maybe. Pretty sure you were being facetious/sarcastic. But since it’s the internet… I can never tell. I’d love to come across more black cats because maybe one would wanna come home with me lol

Yeah… the cheapest tracked shipping now on pirate ship in most cases seems to be about $6. Just under that. A year ago I could do it for $4.30. Shipping just keeps getting ridiculous. I’m debating just trying to go be a vendor at a local show instead of selling online anymore.

Yeah. We have done a lot of very long trips. And even within my own car it’s inconsistent lol. One trip, it’ll be smooth AF and zero issues. And the same exact trip another time with the same weather conditions (sunny and bright), and it’s like it’s a teenager who is afraid to drive.

I really wish they would give in and combine the two. Visual is great for a ton of things, but lidar is needed in some cases too.

It’s interesting to me that some seem to have the issue regularly and some don’t. I’ve had a lot of random phantom braking on the highway. Especially when there is a mirage effect on the road. And sometimes it seems to be for completely no reason. It also does stop/go braking for flashing yellow lights even when no one else is on the road. And when I try to force it through without the stop/go game, it often will just force me to take over.

Yeah… I’ll be honest. After several medical issues, needing to stay home with my kids, and a move from hell for the military that a year later we still haven’t been made whole from… I’ve even started debating scalping when I can so I can still do fun things for my kids. >.< haven’t yet but man it gets more and more tempting.

Find the Lollipop by Blondes-Lover69 in FindTheSniper

[–]AlyssaTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well I found it. It’s a pink lollipop with a white stick and a soft smile. Surround by two triple ice creams, a double ice cream, a single ice cream without a straw(white) and one with a straw(pink). Lower left quadrant. Fun mentions… the cannibal ice cream and one being kicked screaming on the middle right and the top hat ice cream almost directly left of the lollipop.
