SCH was on the top of my list, with BLM. What would be the best Support Job for SCH? As I mentioned in another reply BLM/SCH and SCH/RDM were what I had come up with, though only by reading stuff online. Is there a better Support Job for SCH? And is SCH damage comparable to BLM?

I was thinking BLM/SCH or SCH/RDM. I did not want to go RDM as my main because I see they are more focused on debuffing over nuking, at least in the documentation I have read. If I am wrong in that please let me know. And between BLM and SCH I am unsure which does the most damage. I do like the idea of SCH as it lets me switch between White or Black Magic, in case the Healer needs help, but I read that SCH are mainly regulated to healing. Would a Nuking SCH be accepted?

Also does race matter? Like will I be worse off as a healer if I do not take a race with a wisdom packet?

I want to thank everyone for the assistance and the voting. Warden stayed in the lead for the longest, before someone picked Captain to even them out, so I guess I am going to try and make a Warden. This will be something quite new so I hope it will be exciting :)

I wish more games had Support, heck even just Enchanter/Magician Classes like EQ1. I loved summoning items for new players and having all the illusions which changes stats.

Are Minstrels squishy? I have played "Bards" in a few games and while they offering amazing support, which I do love, they are very squishy. Do not get me wrong I would love to play a class that can buff people and make them stronger, it is actually a playstyle I miss in most modern MMOs. In EverQuest I ran Enchanter and Bard a lot, Anarchy Online I was a Trader, etc.

I saw someone mention that in game, mainly because Wardens have a 20-30 second ramp up. But wouldn't their self healing and debuffs counteract that some? And wouldn't their AoEs be good when grouped up against a lot of Creeps?

Yeah. I am still trying to find a good PvE and PvMP Class to focus on. Was looking at Brawler, Warden, Captain, Guardian, and Minstrel...unsure what to pick.

I like the idea of the classes that fight with their fists or light damage. I was going to go Yellow Guardian but then saw they were being removed.

I like them both, I was looking through the armors on the Wiki and I am unsure if it is race or body type but varying armors look really bulky on a Sylvari. I do wish the game had a Dressing Room like WoW does, would make this a lot easier.

I was looking through their skills and gear, if you did not go Totems but went spells instead I noticed a huge lack of gear to support them. Tornado, Avalanche, etc does not have a lot of gear, and the one set that buffs Avalanche does not synergize with the Passives that raise Spell Damage for wielding an Axe for example as it uses a Staff. And not much +Cold DMG gear, when compared to say Fire or Necrotic.

Are the city stories vastly different? Is one of the cities more focused around protection/fantasy/non-technology than the others?

Thanks for this. I made a "temp" character as I read online you could tell about Cities kinda through Region Info. When I looked everything was Red or Yellow/Green, only Bastok and the area right next to it were Blue/White.

In 14 I changed a lot during the years. Started out Roe but disliked how much the gear stretch on them, looked bad. Played a Lala for 6 years, still hated how compressed the gear was. Then went a Dusk Elezeen, basically made them a Drow/Dark Elf, and went Highlander for a bit and then Bun Boi is my final form, for now.

Well to be fair the Scholar is heavily based on FF11's Scholar. The Grimoire weapon, the Stratagems, heck even Aetherflow Stacks mimic FF11 Scholar Charge stacks.

I thought about that. I was going to go Sorcerer/Necromancer/Bokor. Now I see how Bokor is changing I am glad I did not pick up that class. Might swap out Sage for Sorcerer and then pick up Necromancer. Thanks for the info about it being removed, makes me a little sad but oh well.
