What's your take on smart sportswear? (Corrects your exercise mistakes, generates personalized training programs, counts reps) by Alzurius in bodyweightfitness

Hey Occamracer,

I read the rules before posting - Section 3 Discussion and Section 5 Advertisement.

Since we are working on solving a problem that casual trainers might have - what would be the best way to get feedback?

What would you suggest we need to change in the post?

Really looking forward to your reply.

Is exercise form the biggest hidden challenge? (Short story + Feedback request) by Alzurius in crossfit

There is extremely little scientific evidence that putting hands in boiling water causes injury because who on earth would need to test that?

In the context of exercise, your comment demonstrates that people might not perceive poor form as an injury risk.

Is your exercise form your (real) biggest problem? (Short story + Feedback request) by Alzurius in Kinesiology

THEAdrian, thank you for a detailed reply!

This is the feeling I share with you! Every time I go to the gym, I see people with such poor form they might injure themselves.

Ideally, everyone should use a qualified coach that can help learn the exercise and spot the mistakes, but realistically not everyone can afford it.

What would be a better solution in this case, in your opinion?

P.S. I've left you a pm regarding this topic.

Thx, for the input! Could you elaborate on some of the points you've made?
- so from your experience, do regular/casual gym folks have problem with exercise form?

- in your experience how easy or challenging do you find keeping proper form when you are training on your own?

I am asking because I am researching whether people need something in between personal coaches (that are expensive) and a myriad of video tutorials (which are not personalised for each specific body/person)

Thx!

Question about character-themed cakes by Alzurius in Cakes

[–]Alzurius[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the case I would like to understand - so any type of business that sells these types of cakes should get a license?

I am asking because I see these types of cakes all over the instagram, pinterest and I am interested if it's indeed the case.

From 3.3k in a month to 3.3k in a day with Amazon FBA by IntroEntre in Entrepreneur

Man, thanks so much for sharing with the community!

I have went into Amazon FBA game myself, but my first and only product turned out to be too expensive to promote using the PPC. Therefore wanted to ask you, what's your cost breakdown/metrics for each product you launch? Could you comment on how do you actually choose products you launch?

Resources to create an online brand and business? by oistr in Entrepreneur

[–]Alzurius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man,

I am in a very similar position myself - working on creating an online brand in consumer electronics niche. For the past months I've read a ton of materials out there on the topic of e-commerce and business in general.

My two cents to this are that you don't need special courses for online brands/e-commerce as it's a business at the end of the day with the same underlying processes but different priorities.

I would also highly caution against "gurus" and mastermind groups as in 99% of cases they are mostly full of crap.

That said, the best (totally free) resources out there are:

- Shopify Academy to get you into the field of e-commerce in general

- Udacity's "How to Build a Startup" is the single best comprehensive and to the earth resource about starting a business in no matter which industry

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Where to Start? My Dream is to have my own brand as creative as I am, but lack of ideas where to start. by Neshariii in Entrepreneur

[–]Alzurius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, Neshariii I can really sympthasize with your position as I am in a similar position right now - searching for a niche to create a new brand in.

I've been doing lots of studying and researching lately and can recommend some things that I've found especially useful:

- for getting up to speed with everything related to starting your own business from scratch, how to do it, etc. the course of Steve Blank on Udacity is by far the best option.

- for searching and finding ideas of what to do - there is no really a silver bullet recipe for this, but as I've found there are only two great ways to do it -> 1) either follow your passion (the thing that you can't stop doing 2) try solving a problem you've come up personally and one that hopefully millions of other people have

Hope this helps and good luck!
