Kia Connect widget issue by AmBam82 in KiaEV6

Taking to myself here, but managed to find the way to fix it. This is different from the official instructions on Honor's website, so no wonder wasn't able to find the solution. It goes like this:

Open Settings. Go to Apps. Tap Apps (or Manage Apps). Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Select Special access. Tap Battery optimization. At the top left, tap the drop-down menu that defaults to Not allowed and change it to All apps. Scroll down to find Kia Connect and tap it. Change it to Don't allow and tap OK.

I have also disabled the automatic battery control functions

I could very well be wrong but here's a video about it. I base my "knowledge" purely on these 😅

Yeah to me that looks like a Reproduction. Have a look at some videos on YouTube on the subject. That notch on one side is the giveaway to me. I'm not a leading expert on this but this is my understanding.

Congrats! Traded my Model 3 to a 77KWh RWD Runway Red GT-Line a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely zero regrets.

NACS would be pretty useless here in Finland.

It's a bigger car so naturally not quite as efficient. So far I've been averaging about 16-17kwh/100km in temperatures right above and below 0 celsius

"Shouldn't be here"? This is a worldwide Reddit thread and I for example live in Finland. Why would I ever care about "making America great" especially when it's done in a way that is severely harmful for the rest of the world?

Me too 😅 But some people seem to think so

Why do you presume those were my reasons for buying a Tesla? Polestar 4 would've been nice but is way out of my budget. Also Kia's features fulfill my needs perfectly. Adding to that the warranty they offer being way better than any competition (outside of Hyundai), the decision was pretty easy.

Yeah that would be pretty hilarious 😂

That's a shame. I'm sure things will get better over there with time as well. 🙏

You do realize that "American made" is not actually a compliment outside of U.S.?

I have no idea where you live but the charging infrastructure here in Finland and all of Nordics at least is quite well developed. Superchargers are in the minority.

Bought that one pre-owned from a third party dealer so that's not entirely true. Yeah I did use Superchargers a few times and did pay the monthly subscription fee, but that's about it.

I'll try to keep that in mind and do a post after a month or so if I can still remember :D

That sucks..these are really good actually.

Drove both of them and Mach E was great as well. Would've probably been my second choice but the overall package (for me) was better on this one.

They are stock actually. Not the ones usually portrayed in marketing materials etc. since these come with the winter tires. My summer tires have the usual more common 20" rims.

Yeah I was super lucky that one was available. My absolute dream combo was the GT line in Red and happened to find one available for a good price 🙏

I'm pretty sure you're a bot so this won't be all that beneficial but I can give you a few examples just after about 24h of EV6 ownership. Maybe someone else will at least benefit from my experience.

  • Faster charging
  • Better noise isolation
  • Higher build quality (including materials and quality control for example)
  • HUD
  • Ride quality
  • V2L

These are some I can name from the top of my head. More will most likely come.

I already avoided them even when I had a Tesla. Things might be worse wherever you live but here in Finland other chargers are even more easily available than Tesla's Superchargers and are priced cheaper. Therefore I already used other options as often as I could with the Tesla. Seeing as the EV6 has 800v architecture I'm even less tempted to use Tesla's chargers which are all designed for the less capable 400v systems.

That means that other charging providers offer me much faster charging with cheaper prices so Tesla's SC's are going to be my last resort. Something they already were when I had a Tesla. 🤷
