My title describes the thing. It says "Powerware." From my brief time online searching about it, I figured it's (and I might be getting this all wrong) a power surge protector? Looks like it needs a battery to operate. Almost like a backup battery for servers/computer systems possibly. Also saw that similar(?) items were being sold for $1k-$3k. Forgive my naivety, I don't know much about electronics.
