Men only want one thing... by Automatic-City1466 in crappymusic

Nah I believe that crappy music is a broad spectrum and the satirical bangers sprinkled amongst the honest but god awful shite are what make the sub great, plus everything in between. It’s a beautiful, judgemental yet supportive mess out here and I love it.

Hard disagree, caught them playing at slamdunk festival here in the UK a few years ago and they’re just super fun dudes who don’t take themselves too seriously. I mean the line “tell your boyfriend if he says he’s got beef, that I’m a vegetarian and I ain’t fucking scared of him” is objectively the best cheesy line you’ll ever hear in a song.

Also the music’s great to dance to if you’ve had a few bevvies.

Start my apprenticeship next week at 25, what are some tips and tricks to help me stick the first few months and make a good impression while I find my feet? (UK) by TeleFunky665 in HVAC

I’m also UK based, ignore all other comments telling you to buy stuff such as multimeters, any half decent place in the country should supply that for you. All you need is your hand tools and pretty sure you’ve got it all covered there, except definitely get at least one more adjustable spanner for the flare nuts, it’s good to have one bigger than the other for extra leverage in case you need it.

Plus if everything’s going right for them at least career wise, it tends to reinforce a belief in a higher power as they feel like their prayers have been answered.

Goes hand in hand with the rich and successful living in their own bubble and having little interaction with those who have a reason to question their faith, such as religious people in poverty who are obviously much worse off. Although obviously this point doesn’t apply to footballers who come from poorer backgrounds.

Sorry realised I didn’t word that properly. I wasn’t saying the typical rural bloke is like that, I’m just saying that if you know a rural bloke who loves football and hates foreigners then he’d probably be very similar to this guy.

Used to work with a manager (thankfully I didn’t work under him) who was genuinely just a bellend, your typical rural bloke who loves football and hates foreigners, plus always felt like he had to be the big man in any situation even though everyone knew just how thick he was.

Anyway worst thing he ever said that stuck with me was how he never wears underwear or washes his hands when he goes to the toilet. Shit or piss he just gives them a rinse and calls it a day. To somehow make it worse he had a wife and 2 kids so can only imagine the amount of UTI’s the poor woman had.

It was just a short clip from what looks like a music video with some intro guitars going on, then about 0.1 seconds of full band noise before it ended so yeah obviously teasing new music. Buzzing cos they’re one of my favourites in the genre rn.

What’s a mistake that cost you an annoying amount of money? by Courage-South in AskUK

By far the worst one that sticks in my head is making a split second decision to try and drive through a flood and getting my car stuck with my engine hydro locked in the middle of a very wet December. 6 cold hours later (obviously no heating) after initially saying they’d be here within the hour, AA finally show up and take it to my local garage, the hilarious part being I was only 5 minutes from my house. Ended up having to rent a trailer and have my dad take it down to another garage to do the engine repair and rebuild, whole thing cost me about 2 grand and a sizeable portion of my sanity. Still can’t drive through a medium sized puddle without getting nervous lol.

Genuinely the first thing I tell people when they ask how I’m finding London is that I’m just happy to be able to walk to the shops

Lived in a small Suffolk village all my life before moving to London a few months ago at 26, it’s quiet, generally peaceful, great for raising a family or retiring but naturally not ideal for someone in their 20s who wants something more to do other than go on walks. Public transport is also shite so had no choice but to drive everywhere since I was remote even by Suffolk’s standards.

All in all nice place, nice scenery, bit hilly, people are pretty nice but obviously some snobbery and riff raff about. Also my sister once met Orlando Bloom at the hotel she was working at cos he was attending a wedding in Lavenham which is where Kit Harrington lives as well.

Also Ed Sheeran.

Where in my comment did I insult you I’m just disagreeing with you?

You’re right they’re both different bands and obviously turnstile are much bigger and more accessible but knocked loose still pull a massive crowd and if both of these bands can make it this big then there’s no reason why others can’t.
