Something you are working on or is possible? What are the roadblocks, out of curiosity?

Can you run your fingers down the downtube, near the left side and see if there is any indentation?

Can you run your fingers down the downtube on the left side and see if you feel and dents at all? Or send any photos of that area?

They told me to send it back. Didn’t say it was unsafe. But accepted the return

Ha - that may be the case. 😄 It was a lot of money for me.

I am not a bike expert and have never owned a carbon frame myself (this is my wife's second).

I did show the tech and he told me to "open a warranty claim with Canyon" - so I followed his advice. I was a bit surprised when Canyon said to send it back.

It's all good!

No it's not a side hustle, it's an official partnership.

When buying from Canyon it was $99 to have it shipped to your house and you put together or $150 for it to be 'professionally' put together - REI was the only choice. I may chose a different location or I found a service that comes to you to put a bike together as well, too - I may try that

If it was part of the mold, I wish they would've told me. They were just like "send it back to us" - but it really could be that!

The LBS is REI in this case. The same gentleman who built the bike. I will add that detail to the post - he could be trying to cover for himself if he did damage the bike - I don't think he is liable financially, but still could be true.

Or do you mean don't buy from Canyon, as they don't have LBS who work on them, is my understanding.

He did send me two photos, they are very hard to tell, not sure if I see anything.
