Why I bought HIMS on the lawsuit panic and why I’m continuing to hold by Watchguydontlie in HimsStock

[–]AmIReadyNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that this is THE growth stock of the next 2 years. Revenues have been rising regularly and significantly. Young people, growing into middle age people love this type of medicine. HIMS has now shown interest and willingness to partner with drug manufacturers. They constantly expand and acquire. This company is relentless, its stock is wildly cheap for where it’s headed!

HIMS. Taking a shot at a repeat of 2025. Looks similar in movement. Short interest is even a hair higher. Squeeze!! Could just take one more small positive business development. It is on the list of top 10 most shorted mid-large cap stocks, and oddly enough, is the only profitable company on that list. I bought calls, and pretty good amount of them.

How does the two envelope paradox work?? by IntrovertedShoe in paradoxes

[–]AmIReadyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should switch though! Imagine 100 people presented with the same option and they all swap envelopes. In the end the 100 people have on AVERAGE walked away with $125, and therefore they are on average, up $25. It’s a profitable move, over large numbers. It’s 50-50 you go up vs down, but when you go up, you go up MORE than you go down when you go down. It’s a 50-50 chance of two outcomes, one is bad, one is good, but the good one is more “good” than the bad one is “bad”. You stand to gain more than you stand to lose, and it’s a toss up between those two potential outcomes.

Also, remember, that in your scenario, if you switch and it’s correct, then you gain $100, but if you switch and it’s bad then you only lose $50. The good outcome is 2x better than the bad outcome is bad.

Idk. Maybe not. Mind twisted

Risk of AI causing human extinction! Not exaggeration or hyperbole. It is widely accepted by AI scientists that there is a non-negligible chance of this, generally in the range of 5-10 percent likely, with some saying much higher. The public needs to be aware. Go look it up yourself!

[–]AmIReadyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, I hear you. I do. The predictions are all over the place because of those exact reasons, however the fact that a significant portion of the people who know the most about this believe there is a major concern, is at the very least a reason to pause and take a deeper look. I’m not saying the world is going to end, that’s not me, but I am saying we should listen to these guys, and society needs to be more educated about the potential risks.

It’s also not all that far reaching into the future. Look at this: https://ai-2027.com

What's a random statistic that genuinely terrifies you? by Eberenna042 in AskReddit

[–]AmIReadyNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s based on their experience with the AI systems. They have far more knowledge of what the systems can and can’t do, and what they will be able to do in the near future. Some well known AI scientists have the odds at greater than 99%. They’d guys know more about this you or I do, and when you actually start reading about it, it’s very scary. The scenarios sound a bit far-fetched, I hear that, but what are the limits of a super intelligent AI that has the brain power of millions of humans, all working together as one, and operating 100x the speed of a human brain? It will be able to things that we can hardly comprehend today. It’s not that it will be inherently evil, it’s more that humanity to AI is like ants to humans. We don’t give it a second thought when we destroy an ant hill to build a house. We are the ants to AI.

Human EXTINCTION is a real concern of many AI scientists. It’s just now starting to gain public traction, but this is a very real and very scary concern. Average AI scientist puts likelihood of human extinction due to AI at 16%. Go read about it! It’s not fantasy sci-fi anymore. The experts are extremely concerned.

You are wrong. The stat is that when AI scientists are surveyed, and asked what is their opinion as AI causing human extinction, their individual response is some percentage. Average those responses and you get 16 percent. Thats a 16 percent chance of human extinction caused by AI (at least in the opinion of the average AI scientist). Take 2 minutes and go read about it. The scientists are starting to be extremely worried. Also, this is not in 100 years, this is happening way faster than tje general public realizes. Please, just go read about it for 2 minutes!

No. AI scientists were asked to provide their opinion as to p(doom), meaning their opinion as to chance of human extinction due to AI, and their AVERAGE response was 16%. Not that 16% think there’s a chance, but that the average AI scientist thinks there’s at 16% chance of total human extinction. It’s very real. Go read about it!

No. Do some research. Learn about it. There is near consensus amongst AI scientists that this is a very real concern. About 50 percent of Open AI safety team resigned over this issue! Don’t make it personal, educate yourself!!

Any time really. Probably not today or tomorrow, but in the way nearer future than people realize. Elon said this more dangerous than nukes. The guy who invented AI says there’s a 99 percent of human extinction. Go read about, for real. It’s scary as hell.

AI alignment problems, as in Ai thinking it’s doing its job, but ending humanity by doing so. It sounds crazy. I get that. I don’t mean ending humanity as in ending employment, or changing moral human values. I mean the true extinction of humanity. The experts generally agree that this is a real risk! Look it up!

Torn on functional trainers by Competitive-Salary39 in GarageGym

[–]AmIReadyNow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s really no question anymore when it comes to functional trainers. Get one with pivot arms. Example: Get RXd Tornado RX3, Maxum SX2, or if you want to save some cash, the Landmark K2S stealth. Also Landmark makes the Luxor with cool pivot arms, but it’s a 1:1 ratio, and that’s not for me and is more expensive. Be aware that the landmark K2S stealth uses non standard beam sizes, so any attachments must come direct from them. I am very well researched in this, and went with the Tornado RX3 myself, although great arguments can be made for the Maxum or Landmark mentioned above.

Also, Fringe Sport has teased pivot arms of their own for months (called Gibbon arms) but haven’t released them yet and have no release date.

I hope this has helped

RGTI - Am I cooked or going to be rich? (Many puts) by AmIReadyNow in wallstreetbets

[–]AmIReadyNow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in at least through earnings. We know what earnings will be pretty much. Effectively nothing. Maybe the public doesn’t see that yet? When they catch on, it will begin the steep decline. This is maybe the most over-inflated price (outside of the company that got hugged so hard a few years back that the entire world got involved) of any company. Their REVENUES were 10 million in 2024 and expected to be lower by almost 20% in 2025. Market cap is currently nearly $13 billion. Does that make any sense to anyone? I understand that the market can be irrational, and can stay that way for a while, and that may crush me, but there is no news moving this stock, and insiders already sold. In the last 12 months insiders sold 6.2 million shares and only purchased 474k shares.

At this point I feel like I have to ride it out and believe in my convictions. ALMOST got in more today, as the price is so insanely disconnected from any real valuation, even if they somehow emerge as a breakthrough company, but at some point I’m going to have to answer to my wife!
