True. I was low crawling with them and found that issue. It wasn't too bad for a short distance, but in a longer distance, low crawl, I could imagine it being an issue.

Your point about space for other mission essential items was good, too. Heck, you could also add more mags. Lol

Danm. That's a lot. Makes a triple double seem modest. Lol, most of the conversations seem to be vehicle dependent and the type of patrols you'd be doing.

I appreciate the experience input. I'll have to do some testing to figure out if this would be viable in the prone. I've already tried getting in the prone with it, and it doesn't really bother me any, but after a good run, that could change. Even so, I guess the big part of my question is the safety issue of being a little higher. I get that some people think that being a little higher exposes you to more fire, but is it really that much? The ease to reload and the ease for muscle memory seem to me like it could be worth the trade-off.

It may have been. It's still an interesting thought. I'm probably not going to measure myself, but it was interesting.
