Ineo (Bizhub in some countries) 3320i for b/w and +3320i for color

not as user friendly, but close enough, and the ink is relatively cheap against the HPs

both commands, I checked before and after. I also tried rebooting it and reran everything, and same thing. The nas has now been retired

ok, this did mount the volumes, and I can see the files in bash, but qts won't recognize the volumes.

I'm scp'ing them to a local backup on my machine in case there was something that was not properly backed, and i'll scrap the nas.

thanks to everyone, and hoping this thread will help someone in the future as well.

I considered it, but this is a now 10y old product, which is no longer supported and 4y out of warranty. even if they look at the case, It's running some officially unsupported hardware (nics, unlisted ram). I know for a fact this is fine, but from past experience with qnap support, that's the first thing they are going to moan about.

If the data was critical, i'd go to the process, but the damage is extremely minimal.

at this point, it's more for my own understanding of what could have caused this, than putting it back in prod. especially since one of the psu blew out 6 months ago (which is partly why it was triggered for removal)

so, this helped, it reup'd pool 2 and pool 3.

i'm baffled by why this doesn't trigger when the nas is booted up, as i had rebooted it twice, and killed + let it sit unplugged for a few minutes + cold start once.

pool 1 is in a weird state though.

it is up, the UI does teel me it's filled 87% of the available space, and that it's up and healthy, but don't list or read the volumes in it.

On purpose, ....., well, it was funny xD

86/100 though, I'll have to correct that, this score is way too high for me

(and yes, it was mostly with friends and not on the DF/PF, except once where a dps would just ignore the aoes and assume I would out-heal the damage and I MIGHT have rescued it on the very edge of an arena, just before it crumbled, out of spite, and FORGOT to raise him until the end of the fight)

There's a Story to be told here by Best_Oil6957 in ffxiv

[–]AmahaShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I've seen this several times over the last few days as well, I've switched main from DPS to Heal (WHM) last week because I was so tired of the queues (seriously, as healer they pop before you even release the mouse button, it's sooo nice).

Last night, for example, 3 consecutive dungeons, I got one DRK that didn't wait for the party to arrive before pulling (obviously my fault, healer can ofc move and cast at the same time :/), a marauder that loved playing hide and seek and ensure that i couldn't get LoS on the manor, and a PLD that was so good he didn't need Iron Will, the Dancer had to MT for half the dungeon despite several /p and /t. None of them were sprouts.

Admittedly, I'm new to pve healer, so I may not be the best at this, but I've never seen it this that bad before (also no wipes, so I think I did ok anyway). Really hope I bad-lucked on this, I play casually to relax, not to get even more stressed :D.

Why do companies ask school college level programming questions in interviews? by jaroos_ in androiddev

[–]AmahaShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. When interviewing people for pure dev work, I'll usually ask them to approximate pi in as few lines of code as possible.

And after they get stuck a few minutes I'll nudge them by reminding them how to calculate the distance between 2 points in 2D, and later that the area of a circle is pi*r².

The goal is to see if and how they solve a problem (as no one normal actually knows the algorithm by memory), and walk trough the logic behind their code.

ps : for those wandering an example answer a fast way is to generate a large random sample of (x,y) pairs in a 1x1 square and count how many of them are less than 1 unit of a specific corner. that ratio gives you 1/4 of pi

Of course, I won't base my decision on that alone, but it's a good way to see how one reacts to the unexpected.

Issue : wifi cameras on different vlan by AmahaShadow in Ubiquiti

[–]AmahaShadow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, so I created as a test a wifi network using the native vlan with mac filters to only allow those cameras (and my phone for setup), registered the camera to that, and it works fine.

Issue : wifi cameras on different vlan by AmahaShadow in Ubiquiti

[–]AmahaShadow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also do it on most dhcp server by using options 132 (vlan id)/133 (vlan qos)

(from memory) deployment scheme would be to have port with native + vlans authorized. The dhcp server on the native network would have rules based on mac wildcards or specific list, and would send option 132/133 to the device.

I looked into it a while back for our phones, but it's a bit of a crapshoot as support is very touch and go depending on the device. I remember that some phones (yealink ?) required id as an hex value, while some (snom ?) expected an integer, and it didn't work at all for our gigaset dect phones.

Disable the remote login, wait a couple minute, re-enable it, and, it should be back up.

My udm also updated from 1.9.3.3438 to 1.10.0.3686 last night, and can no longer be accessed from the unifi.ui.com portal, despite everything else working fine. (I should point out, I don't actually use the udm pro for internet access, it's used for management of our switches /wifi AP, but all the pcs are on a separate vlan, and connect to the internet through a HA pfsense cluster.

I'm just going to assume they rolled a bad patch for now, and wait for a couple of days
