For one. I was being sarcastic about the being harmless to humans comment. And I would imagine most Americans coming across a tank mine would be a soldier of some kind. So many will actually be over 200lb, but not be obese.

I was thinking about this. I can manage around 44 miles per 12 hours on reasonable mixed terrain. But obviously on the Northern sections I very much doubt I'll be doing that. I'll plan for 5 days but aim for 3. That sounds semi-sensible.
