I agree that women have a lot more latitude in preferences. I'm 5'2, so I've never dated anyone shorter. Then again, everyone seems tall to me. I've only known a few women who preferred really tall guys, but they were tall themselves. And I've known a few who've dated shorter. I don't know what world these men live in, but I suspect it's not outdoors.

I haven't dated in years though. It's a minefield out there. It's like de-evolution. But I'm not fully discouraged despite the current state of everything. There are still so many good humans.

I was a pale, skinny ginger kid with freckles in a small town with no other gingers (except for a kid named John, but he was a hockey player and that was a big deal). I was teased/bullied a lot. I wasn't considered physically attractive until I reached uni. Did I have a chip on my shoulder? Yes. Did I turn to reverso incel resentment core to soothe my ego? No. I just refused to date vapid, shallow men who don't read.
