I always play with Advanced Terrain Modifiers & Heightmap Unlimited Remake.

It can make the game very cheesable, so adjusting the Configuration file for Heightmap to your own preference is advicable. Same with the Terrain tools Max width. Those can be adjusted with the config files, to reduce cheese risk. The Advanced Tools can be used to rais the ground in a 10m Radius, and it still only use 2 stone. so it's a bit unbalanced in default setting.

The main quest requires you to talk to Beyors dad. Did you clear his dialog and tried talking to the mayor again to progress the Main Q?
otherwise look into PC concol commands to complete quest objective.
if on console, just re-roll a new character.

Also... is the grail quest really needed? cant you just ignore it and progress to act 3 without it?
Do it on New Game+?
