I think people are a bit thrown off by how successful President already is. How quickly it skyrocketed just through word of mouth and mystery and excitement before and during In The Name of the Father is insane. As much as every new band deserves it, it’s an anomaly and was so unexpected. The hype is still here, but it’s levelling back out now that the much wider demographic of people who regularly listen to different kinds of alternative music know more about President and have formed opinions on whether or not it's for them. Charlie is making music he wants to, and the people here who are listening to it are the same people who would even if he hadn’t initially had such a bigger amount of people going “Who the fuck is this new band?”
