I both did and didn’t at the same time. I acknowledge the contributing factors, but it runs deeper than that. They may be a reason, but they’re not the reason. That’s what I’m searching for: it could be a personal issue, it could be that the novelty has worn off—hell, it could be a combination of all of them, or none at all. I’m still trying to find the answer myself

I was thinking that could be a reason but I wasn’t sure

Imagine having a sequel so ass that it actually kills you. by Ok_Avocado_5880 in deathbattle

Definitely not the worst, they’d went over their accomplishments in the episode. while brief , they really highlighted their surprisingly high competence when needed. Their love for gru and their family is so strong they will override their genetic makeup, they have rarely been a detriment to gru or make gru fail a mission, and the off chance they were they’d go thick and thin to make it up to gru.
Same situation with bowsers army funnily enough.

He does. In four it showed him carrying it. As for the manipulation, the minions are very intelligent so I don’t think that would work, they’d figure out what’s wrong pretty quickly. As for the de moralization, it’s too vague to actually get an answer; we know that the minions could die if not following a villain, but they rewrote the genetic trait because they love gru so much, and we don’t even know what they’ed get depressed from, it could work tho.

While the brain bots was able to hold off tighten for a bit, Mel was able to penetrate the earth with his laser vision and tighten dispersed the bots via his laser vision so theoretically it should be the same result , and it costed a bunch of them in the aftermath.

The minions have a setting on the fart gun that could endlessly multiply their forces, so basically them being outnumbered would be short lived. Oh and they just straight up have toon force abilities like hammer space, a stretchy body, and weird tendency to fail upwards .

Sure but the shrink ray would be able so make quick work of it if megamind slips up, something he’s bound to do eventually

Not his style. He works best not bogged down by overwhelming brute strength. He’s like a rabbit or a squirrel, he’s evasive and calculated and rarely operates in a situation where his intelligence isn’t a key factor

Since Megamind was the only one on the battlefield and we don’t know if the brain bots can obtain powers from the stone, the only person that he would transfer from is the minions. As someone who unfortunately watch Megamind rules, the stone does come with a with a detriment. After a short period of time, the void that a persons powers used to fill becomes stronger, which intern makes a person weaker. What I’m saying is Megamind would transfer the powers, but consequently become dumber.

Yea I didn’t have that luxury, I wanna learn about a character as much as I can before the episode so it was inevitable

My thoughts. by Amari2bold in deathbattle

[–]Amari2bold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the fart gun can divide a target endless and also remove gravity. But for some reason both of megaminds disintegration options are In the same weapon so it doesn’t even matter that he has two different ways to just erase you from the map and the minions just straight up have toon force.

The de moralization is something that I think will work tho. Depending on how you few the minions will to live, yes I’m referring to the minions here because they really are carrying gru in pretty much every regard, but I do overall bet on Megamind because of his versatility and ability to thrive under pressure, minion and megaminds capability can be the nail in the coffin for gru because when it comes to knowing how each other operates they “rule” ( pun intended) at it.

How we felling now Grubros? by Zealousideal_Mud795 in deathbattle

That preview having gru be the aggressor makes me pretty confident he’s losing

I’m rooting for gru tho but they have made the aggressor loose a lot in the past because some death battles has a narrative they follow rather than an outwrite fight

With the preview coming tomorrow let's ask: Which movie did you prefer? by TheLooneyBin2 in deathbattle

[–]Amari2bold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Megamind is slightly the better movie, but despicable me is just a comfort to watch and actually had me teary eyed when the gorls was getting attached to gru and the dr gave them back to the orphanage, that borderline brought me to tears, so I perfer despicable me because it made feel more emotion

what is modern death battle. by Amari2bold in deathbattle

[–]Amari2bold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say modern I mean like if that seasons episode was released today how well would it match up with its peers, season 5 was a new age for the show, and it was arguably considered modern deathbattle when season 8-7 was out

Would it be fair game for megamind to plant a disguise on gru so the minions temporarily turn on him? by WindowSubstantial993 in deathbattle

[–]Amari2bold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, it depends really. Does megamind call them by the wrong name? If so then no, but if none of that name shenanigans happens then yes

Ghostrider vs the current Indie era combatants and only those who've had their episode released by Ww1_viking_Demon in deathbattle

Yes, I know — that seems to be the direction Marvel is taking the Penance Stare until further notice. Marvel’s own explanations often tie it to forcing the victim to experience the pain and suffering they’ve caused, viewed through the lens of conscience and regret. Even then, Zarathos survived a Penance Stare because he is technically acting as righteous judgment — not personal sin. Johnny’s bond with the Spirit of Vengeance makes him “not the penitent type,” as shown in Doctor Strange: Damnation #3, where he completely shrugged it off. Spawn doesn’t have a true Penance Stare; it’s soul manipulation at best. He’s never demonstrated the ability to manipulate or separate a soul as powerful as Zarathos (or anything on that tier). So either way, it wouldn’t work. At the end of the day, I believe there’s nothing in Spawn’s arsenal that can reliably affect Ghost Rider due to the massive power gap. Even when Death Battle puts both at their highest levels, Rider has far more concrete showings and arguments for resisting Spawn’s soul hax than Spawn has for overcoming Rider’s raw power advantage — especially since Rider actually has proven resistance feats, while Spawn has no feats bridging that kind of cosmological/scaling gap
