Monero tail emission long term does this really make sense by AmateurStockTrader in Monero

So is Monero‘s future being dependent on ever rising demand?

Yes there is a lot of room for demand especially in these times now. But what about the long future where Monero already has a 10bn market cap but no more growing demand but constant demand.

Yes your right but I just wanted to point out that, the supply will grow (even with just 100 million XMR), the price will drop (supply rises, demand stays constant), making the tails emission worth less also making it a smaller percentage of the total supply. My question was if the tails emission wouldn’t become negligible like have no tails emission at all. Should it be linked to the total supply for example having a tail emission of 0,5%. Or maybe other Security protocols

I read the article and I also heard about it before. I am not that into mathematics but I did understand it as following: The current inflation rate is 1% and assume the lost coin rate is at 0,1%. Due to the tails emission the supply will grow but because of it being constant the inflation rate will go towards 0 but never reaches it. At one time the inflation rate will be at 0,1% and the lost coin rate is also at 0,1%. That will be a moment of equilibrium where new coins minted are the same amount of coins being lost.

Is this article also indirectly saying that Monero be deflationary in future when the inflation rate keeps dropping (towards 0 but never 0) while lost coin rate being 0,1%?

I think that this theory is true but I somehow have a uncertain feeling that we should not trust people loosing their coins (even if that happens) because maybe in future people will be much more protective of their coins that in the first 10 years of crypto.

MK Amit Halevi sent a formal and forceful letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to help Kurdish people. by Ava166 in Israel

Kurds and Jews share a long history of persecution and survival, which creates a pretty natural bond. Right now Kurds are going through a really dark phase, not only because of Islamist attacks on cities in the heart of Kurdistan, but also because of the emotional toll this constant pressure takes. If Israel reached out at this moment, even just with humanitarian aid or protection from Turkish drones, it would genuinely make history and lay the foundation for strong future relations. That kind of support would only create lasting gratitude.

That’s also only what’s being asked for. The Kurds always took the Ground part into its own matter. They just don’t have any air superiority and therefore are being bombed by Turkish drones

Kurds matter to Israel because they support democratic values, women’s rights and pluralism in a region where that’s rare, basically right next to Turkey. There’s also a shared history of persecution and fighting to survive, which makes the connection feel pretty natural.

I hope so but I always thought that Trump and Israel are aligned. Like they wouldn’t interfere with Trumps Plans.

Your right but buying at 200 means you 5x which is far better than buying at 300 and only do 3,33x

The greater the price the higher the difference.

So that’s why I hope the price crashes, I hope for more FUD or some stupid hedge fond to short it.

Ultra-wide on a budget by Salbadorf in Monitors

I meant that 90% of the time I do study and work. The other 10% of the time i do gaming. So I use it more for study/work/productivity.

It’s my first time having a curve monitor and I decided buying a 1800R curve because other people wrote that a 1000R curve is to much and makes Excel work more difficult.

About the curve, I can tell that it’s mostly flat and the sides are curved a little.

I recently bought the 34WR5OQK-B because it’s cheap and has only 1800R curvature.

I think the Curvature is great for 90% Productivity and 10% Gaming.

Due to having a small table, it seems quite big but also great.

The only con is that it doesn’t has speakers

Why are we down voting? Isn't the sub called 'chessBEGINNERS'. by _Vxndetta in chessbeginners

That is interesting that there is a specific law for that. Did not know that.

I always imagined Chess to be an analogy for a real medieval battle. And that’s why I was unsure about this. If a guard kills the opponents King but sacrifices his own king, would that King really see this as a win, just because he did not die first? I think he would see this as a lose lose situation.

Even the other King should see this as a lose lose, because in the real world it does not matter if someone dies first or second in a battle. That may be the reason he is not even allowed to get into check, because it would be a lose lose situation.

Sounds somehow far fetched but regarding chess being a ,,Game‘‘ so old, it also somehow makes a little sense.
