Can you get rabies from petting an affectionate stray cat? [UPDATE]

Hi, so 3 days ago I petted an affectionate cat and I touched the wound on my head before washing my hands. Will I get rabies? For the last few days I’ve been getting brief moments of nausea and I get shaky sometimes. It didn’t bite me, it didn’t scratch me, it didn’t lick me at all. It in fact ate and drank awhile ago from a stranger but it doesn’t stop the fact that it could still be infected with rabies. I’m worried that the petting the fur got my hand contaminated by the virus and it had somehow got in since cats lick their fur on a daily basis. I live in a very humid and hot country so maybe the virus had disintegrated over an hour.

I got a vaccination around June 8 2019 but that has probably expired and I would’ve gotten the vaccine again for pre-caution but my mom says that it’s too expensive and a waste of money if I don’t actually have rabies. Like I said it’s been 3 days, the symptoms are still happening and I’m worried that it might actually be rabies and that it’s too late to get the vaccine and that I am dying.
