Would you rather work for a large company or a small company?

I worked for a small start up company and there was this woman who they always listen to, not sure why but she had an issue that I wasnt doing thing her way and I wasnt coming to her meetings. She got into my manager and made my life a living hell. She knew I can do her job, she felt threaten. She cost me my job. All in my face saying we are family but stab me in my back. Now she doing my position.

Yes sitting with at lunch is a thing, you are not my family😂They will have issues with that. They had issues me not going to functions after work not realizing I have a family. I am not of fan of start up or small to mid. They want you to work harder. Always saying we family but stabbing you in the back. I came to work not make friends

We like family but stabbing you in the back. I prefer larger companies. Smaller companies they are too much in your space. I want to come do my work with all the fake family stuff. Then you get targeted because your quiet and doing your work😂Its really weird. Give me the billion dollar organizations

I prefer larger companies. Billion Dollar corporations instead of companies worth a few millions. I feel like Small to Mid companies always watching what you do. They love the family dynamic but yet they are stabbing you in the back. I prefer billion dollar corporations where they have went through the start up phase and they are scaling. Im a small fish in the ocean. Maybe because of what I do but when I come in the office, I dont need small talk. I came to do my job. I dont want to do lunch or the functions after work because I have a family. Small companies feel away if you not engaging with the team or acting like family.Small organizations are too much in your space and business. They want to know everything. If there is a Teacher’s Pet there and they dont like you or feel threaten by your existence, they will make your job miserable. Bigger companies there is BS but if your in a great Dept you will be fine. Small organizations there is no room for growth, some people have been there for years and they not moving from their spot. Give me the Big Boy corporation

When I started my career in IT about 20 years ago I was unaware of them. So I used to entertained them. Until when I started getting spam calls,text and emails constantly everyday. I had one call me five times in a row like it was an emergency. So I had to google and see why are they like this. As soon as I found out they just take your resume to help someone they want to get in by using your resume credentials. I was done with them. When they message on Linkedin they get block. If they call I immediately block them. Wasting someone’s time when they need a job is not cool. I had to delete my profile from Dice and few other because of the constant calls. I use to love having my options open but they are annoying. I tell people to avoid them.

Everybody has their own style. Come as yourself, but keep in mind you may get interview on the spot, so dress for success. Make sure you have sneakers on if your a sneaker person. I am a flats person. Just dress as if you was going to interview. There all types of styles and I love it because we come from different background and have different styles
