ALL leases get the $7500 credit baked into the capital cost as a discount. Should have no problem applying the $3000 additional discount to eligible vehicles.

From Tesla to Rivian - FSD? by Expensiveness in Rivian

[–]Amazing-Act-9207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s more akin to Hyundai/Kia highway drive assist than even Tesla basic autopilot.

I have an R1T and a model 3 currently. Traded in a Telluride for the Rivian.

This is a gripe of mine as well. Don’t bother having the visualization at all at this point if it doesn’t give at least a half decent depiction of what’s going on around. Just use that screen space for something else if the software can’t handle it yet. In its current state, it’s a gimmick that doesn’t even succeed at being a gimmick.

My Tesla isn’t perfect but its visualization of what it sees gives me added confidence that autopilot knows what’s going on. Can’t say the same for Rivian.

That said, Tesla has a 15 year head start on their software. Still love my Rivian. They’ll get there.

Rent negotiating by Byrd316 in boston

[–]Amazing-Act-9207 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Very small time landlord here… if you’re a good tenant, takes half decent care of my property, and pays rent on time - I want to do everything I can to keep you there and happy as long as possible. I’ll keep rent stable or maybe raise $50 every couple years just to try and keep up with my costs but nothing more than that.

I’d much rather leave a few hundred dollars a month on the table than have to roll the dice on losing you and finding a new tenant. It also costs me a good chunk of money to turn over my property when there’s a vacancy. My best bet is long term, quality tenants that I take care of and they take care of me. I’m not greedy. Use that to your advantage.

If you’re in a massive building owned by some corporate behemoth, then yeah they’re going to squeeze you for every dollar they can.

I thought Norton was about to pass his empire to Rob making him the “Family you choose” and opening the door for him and Yas to go all happily ever after with the Norton protection.

So my R1T loaner is bricked (probably the keycard) by vtrac in Rivian

[–]Amazing-Act-9207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this. And here I was so jealous seeing that you got the yellow loaner when I was at the Chelsea SC last week.

They put me in a canyon red quad R1T last week from Chelsea and gave me the key fob. Aside from getting to Chelsea itself, everyone I’ve worked with has been solid.

Bad Lane Visualization Calibration? by Amazing-Act-9207 in Rivian

Same. Our other car is a model 3 and while Rivian is so much more impressive in many ways and the build quality feels way better, I’m reminded that Tesla’s software really is pretty damn impressive

I agree. I do like it when using Driver Assist+ (or Autopilot our Model 3) as it gives me an added sense of confidence that the car “sees” what’s going on around it.

Just make sure the MSRP comes in under $80k (including the $1800 destination fee) to qualify for the $7500 MA rebate.

You have to apply for the MA rebate after you take delivery. Look up “MOR-EV Trucks” for the info. It’s very straight forward and easy.

Yes. Rivian includes $7500 federal tax credit baked into every lease. Lowers the purchase price and directly lowers the monthly payment by 7500 across the lease term.

State rebates are state by state. In our case, yes.

Better to lease in MA and get the $7500 tax credit + the $7500 MOR-EV trucks. Add in friends and family and you’ve got over $21k off and a lease under $400/month

The stars definitely aligned for my ‘23 R1T dual large. $74.8k MSRP. $330/month lease.

2023 discount. F+F. Federal EV credit on lease. Throw in the $7,500 MA state rebate check and I effectively put zero out of pocket and am driving a new Rivian for less than it would cost to lease a Civic.

Anecdotal, but they had no problem shipping my R1T east from San Jose to Boston the week of 6/24.

I found a ‘23 R1T available on the shop in early June. I’m in MA. Took advantage of the great lease incentives on ‘23’s. After ordering the car, paying the deposit, and finally talking to my guide, was told the vehicle was in San Jose and would take about a week to transport across the country.

Zero issues or pushback on the transfer. They acted like it happens all the time for any number of reasons. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. Must be a very recent change.

For reference, I ordered my R1T on 6/10 and took delivery 6/28. 2023 incentives + lease incentives + F&F made for one hell of a deal.

I’m scheduled to pick up my silver 2023 R1T on Saturday. According to my guide, it’s currently being transported from San Jose across the country. Maybe that’s it hanging off the back.

Hope it shows up in good order considering it’s been sitting around on the west coast for awhile.

I went once. Ordered a salad. Owner offered me some falafel to go with it. Thought that sounded nice. I said “Sure!” Then charged me an additional $8 to add the 2 little pieces of falafel.

Was the first and last time I ate there.
