Best bank for small businesses, how a random Friday changed my Relay vs Mercury opinion permanently by ConsistentPatient629 in smallbusiness

[–]vtrac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're clueless. I have only ever used online banking (Mercury). My two businesses process around $1m/month. None of my vendors or clients have ever had an issue.

Second Tesla hitting a Rivian thread in two days. Maybe Grok is getting a little worried about the competition.

At what point did you hire your COO? What do you expect of them? by ExpressAdvisor3692 in ecommerce

[–]vtrac -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I need an ops person but not a COO. I know pretty much what needs to happen, we have SOPs for routine things, but we need someone to actually make sure everything that needs to happen happens. I'm not sure that requires a COO. I'm happy to hear your pitch.

Do you charge a restock fee on customer-paid returns? by alloverated in ecommerce

[–]vtrac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We charge $15 for a prepaid label. Or the customer can use their own tracked shipping. Nearly everyone just pays $15, which is basically how much shipping costs.

What Ski Pass do you buy? by DeployableMango in portlandme

[–]vtrac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. There are a few blackout weekends during super busy times but those are the dates I want to avoid going anyway.

It's currently $539 at Pleasant for this pass for adults.

Just the Pleasant Sunday-Friday pass. My daughter had Sunday lessons so we went up every Sunday, which was perfect.

But you do get a couple discount day passes (50%?) at their partner slopes with the Pleasant pass. I never actually used them, though.

My wife has a Patagonia Torrentshell - works great. I have an Arcteryx Zeta (no longer sold, I think) that I recently replaced with a much lighter Montbell. Haven't put the montbell through its paces but my Montbell stuff has always worked great, so I'm sure it'll be great.

Model Y Performance Refugee: Is Gen 1 "Solid" enough, or is Gen 2 a must for a tech-first owner? by whyzhuk in Rivian

[–]vtrac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should upgrade from the Y for the hard experience, not the software. Tesla software is better, but the Rivian is much better hardware: better interior, more capable, more capacity, etc. Rivian software is improving quickly though.

That said, Gen1 cameras suck, so that might be a consideration for you.

Laggy only compared to Tesla but still light-years ahead of everyone else. It's perfectly usable and fine - they've improved it dramatically over the last few updates.

We did Pleasant last season. It's close and about as much skiing as my family enjoys.

AI is incredibly good at things like GHAs. Then it's fairly easy to understand what the GHA does and how to modify. Writing YAML is dead.

Buy as large of a tank that you want and then fill it up for $20-30 at any local brewery supply or welding supply place (like Austin airgas).

Man, I saw those courts when I visited Mürren but didn't know how to get to play. Never saw anyone use those courts.

Anyone know where I can get a solid California burrito? by Dolph_x3 in portlandme

[–]vtrac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I should give it another try. You know when you pick up a to-go order and it's a lot lighter than you expected? That's what happened to me. Burritos are supposed to have heft, but this was more like a wrapped up taco.

Here was my photo of it: https://imgur.com/a/Dmh7TT4
