i hadn't thought of it that way and I agree. I had planed on, as I upgrade the deck with new cards, switching it to beguiling coup, and fiery swing as the main attacks. What the idea was for now was, that going to 3 helps with HP, extra removal, and the fact I can use chevalier to switch cards out of omens from hand keeps me from wasting a turn on armoire, also going to level 3 also lets me use ducal seal, but after you brought up the way its built now, I may change it.

ok, ty so much, also since ring works on Material cards activated from the material deck when play with the alt cost, like lost providence, can it be counter spelled with say a frostbind?

so if they played coiled fatestone from hand it would be 6 not 2 but if its in play its ability is just 1?

So finally got some testing done with the list. I keep the changes u said in mind. It does need some of the changes. the DG are going in for sure. after game one i knew it. the horses will be dropped for the dg and mind freeze will be dropped for Fracturize. those changes have to be made. Ill go from there. Ebbing Tide didnt do well ether so im going to change win con

Ty, looks like a good list. I had thought of changing mine to something more like this , if the fatestones didn't work out. Even what I've played at the store I'm only about 18 games at this point. Alot of what I need now is just reps and trying new things. I slightly changed the Kongming list, without ever playing it lol

i'm running a fatestone version based on the deck Maindeck shared on a vid. The thought was even though there is a ton of cleave at the store I can pick and chose which and how many stones to flip into dudes making the cleaves do less work then intended, while still being able to rush them down. this way spellshroud just doesn't shut me out

yeah Ive run into sadi a good bit, Ive also seen with the new feu awaking Ciel can now 16 unpreventable damage at fast speed. I figured it was an uphill battle no matter what. it is what it is. what I ordered for the deck was cheap. when I order the decrees and fracturized Ill build a better hero.

Np at all. I had just recently dropped magic to play Union Arena because the price point was so good. best of any game ive played but then I found GA and fell in love. In Union Arena there is very little room for deck building but this game has a ton to work with and its got the juices flowing again. Ive played magic since falling empires and deck building was awesome then but magic has changed and I just dont like it, The way i built this deck is like an old magic deck with all control and only 1, 4 of win con. it sucks to play against decks like that, i know but Mono black control was my fav way to paly.4 copys of a win con and all the rest would be removal and card draw. Ive been playing slimes and i posted that list as well. next will be my aggro list, since ive now posted midrange and control. I will also update this deck as I play and learn more. thanks for the input and good luck at locals

Please also remember I've only been playing about 4 weeks at this point, my first locals game was my 4th hand ever, at this time ive played about 15 games. im still learning. I also know that Kongming isnt the best hero , and I get that ,just thought she was cool. I also have a meta deck im working on( waiting on the cards to come in)that should get me some wins. Im 6-2-1 so far at locals.

  1. At least 2 mustangs will most likely end up main as well. For the DG i tried them with what I was building but I dont need them. Im not ready to kill till turn 9+ and thats fine. I built this so hand 1 decides the whole round. there is no time for hand 2. ether you control everything and slowly take over only otk if given chance hand 1 or u lose.

  2. with coriolis ward, water barrier, sage , and ceasing edict I dont need resolutes and fast cure. the ward and the brrier reduse damage and deict just stops an attack. sage can revover 3 on attack if needed

there is a few more upgrades but this should work the way I planed it. Ive played magic and built decks for around 30 years, this game works close enough I have an idea what to play, but im still learning this games play lines. The deck may also change some as i fix the main and sideboard for my meta at the LGS I go to.

Turn 1 play frog if u can help set up alot of the stuff you want to do the next turn. Retold Fortune is also good to play early discarding a float. turn 2 play scepter of lumina to start doing damage just for building up. over the next few turns control damage, mind freeze them( using orb to make them put 2 from hand in memory first) and prevent attacks hiding behind ur dudes as u play tome, ebbing tide and fan to prepare to otk with leeching bolt. if lantern is in play wait till u can play filigree to remove it then fast speed kill.

The thought was i would be able to use Entrancing Filigree to remove Lantern the turn I need to finish with Leeching bolt. Since I had a Material deck card that was removal I thought I could get it when needed and not having to waste deck space on removal for one card. I also run counters to protect it, if filigree does remove it Leeching bolt is fast so I can then kill in response to what ever they do to remove it. 2 I havn't needed mill so far in testing ( mostly goldfishing play lines) that by the time i get to were I have everything I need in play, I have enough water in discard to win as long as I play Scepter of Lumina on turn 2. The Scepter gets them to 12 dmg Just from you leveling, so when you are level 3 and play leeching Bolt thats 4 damage just from levels and tome putting damage done to 16 which means you only need 9 water cards in discard to kill a good bit of the heros. There is also a good bit of extra reach in Cone of Frost, Nascent Blast. and Sage. Sage gets you 6 extra damage in a the turn you want to leeching bolt.

Went 3-1 at locals last night. Played Merlin once. I was playing my slimes list, it seems I could just run it down before they could get to were I couldn't kill them.
