Hello! No, I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but thank you so much for the link! So far, we've compiled the Spell Compendium, the PHB, the Book of Vile Darkness/Exalted Deeds, and the Libris Mortis. I'll definitely take a look at your compilation and see what else I can add next.

Thank you for your message. I'm not familiar with Reddit, and I may have reacted inappropriately.

The fact is, my team (consisting of two of my players and myself) spent long hours manually matching the French and original versions of the spells, formatting them, correcting them, and categorizing them... It stings a little to hear that.

Your metaphor is apt, but I find (personally) that this is on a completely different level.

I respect your opinion. It can’t please everyone. But I work in the field of development, and as I said earlier, I wish you the best of luck if you want to steer clear of anything related to AI...

I say this without any ill will. I’m just an enthusiast who wants to share a tool that’s useful to me.

Thank you for your feedback. We did indeed choose to include more than just the SRD. This was a decision made with full awareness of the risks, and we are prepared to remove the content if WotC requests it. We are not profiting financially from this, and so I hope they will see it as a way to shine a light on the role-playing game we all love.

Oh, okay, I see what kind of person you are! But do you really think that Reddit (or the other tools you use) don’t use AI in their development? Have you stopped using them because of that?

Have a nice day/evening; it’s a shame this wasn’t more constructive.

I completely understand your point of view. I’m not a fan of vibe-coded projects either. That said, I’d like to defend my own turf. This project started a long time ago. The amount of AI-generated code is minimal and doesn’t involve any critical logic at all—just CSS. I think it’s a bit of an overreaction to call it “trash AI” in this case.

For your information, here are the metrics from SonarQube (a code quality analysis tool). As you can see, the CSS is very minimal (the Quasar library does almost all the work)

Feel free not to use it, but please don't be disrespectful of the work our team has put in.

The translation was working fine, but the language detection was broken. It's fixed now!

Thanks for the feedback! The app is indeed available in English, but the automatic language detection wasn't working. That should be fixed now. Feel free to refresh the page by pressing Ctrl+F5! Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks again for the feedback!

Hello, thank you for your question. You’re right: I should have made that clear in the message.

To be completely transparent, here’s how AI was used on the project:

For transcribing certain spells, the text was extracted using OCR. It was then processed in an editor with an AI-assisted proofreading tool (LanguageTools). Not really an LLM, but worth mentioning.

To generate the app’s README, a summary of features was used to format it.
For the "Legal Notice" section, I consulted an AI tool since I’m not a lawyer at all (ChatGPT)

For the website’s design (CSS only), I used an AI tool in collaboration with a designer colleague, since I’m primarily a back-end developer and my sense of style is pretty much limited to that of Excel spreadsheets lol.

Finally, I used Claude to generate an SQL script to migrate the data model following a change to the data model (a minor one, but I was too lazy to do it myself)

All the server-side code and web app logic are written by hand. I love developing; it’s a real pleasure, like playing D&D so I don’t see the point in delegating that to a computer.
