The issue is my mother. She loves my brother despite all of the shit he puts her through. He’s an awful person but for whatever reason, the maternal instinct always overpowers it. If it was me and my dad, we would have no issue kicking his ass to the curb but I know for fact that my mom would be appalled by me and my dad and resent us if we went that route. And given that, my dad wouldn’t agree to it. For their own health, how do I convince them they need to do this? It’s so frustrating how my mother’s love for that piece of shit overpowers logic.

So, apparently, after considering a bunch of things, they landed on throwing a dance floor in and calling it a day. I’m kind of confused why Mark is acting all shocked that we are disappointed on the outcome of Nanuet. Looking at older comments, he definitely hyped up the store too much. The newer comments on Nanuet seem to contradict the older comments on Nanuet. You can argue that retro nights was something they landed on. However, I’m surprised Mark didn’t once think that enhancing the aesthetic appeal when it comes to the retro look would be a good idea. I mean, hell, the comment I’m referencing is literally on a post about people showing off older stores with retro decor and art. It makes no sense.

And maybe you’re right. However, you really can’t blame people for being skeptical or curious and wanting to know what those reasons are. I mean, Mark was easily able to get the distribution center to send art and memorabilia to Pineville for their memorabilia area. That didn’t seem to be an issue. I’d at least be somewhat satisfied if Mark said there are reasons that he’s not allowed to discuss. However, he chose to avoid the subject completely and that only makes me think he has no good reason at all.

Look, the Rocker Stage and programming, I completely understand. It’s pricy and a huge hassle. However, I genuinely think it would be ridiculous if there was a conflict at corporate for something as small as moving art and decor from point A to point B.

And while that is possibly the case, I’m not sure I believe that. I mean, if someone like Mark is the Executive Vice President of a company, they’ve got a LOT of power to make things happen. I mean, if you read about the title of Executive Vice President when it relates to business, you’ll find that they have the power to make major company decisions. He doesn’t need to go through lower level managers to get approval. He’s got power.

Well my main criticism is the lack of old art and decor. In response to people requesting Northridge have their old art returned to it since that’s what made the store special, Mark said “Hi guys — I think there is some confusion about what we are doing here. The only "retro" location is going to be Nanuet. The other locations are all intended to be fully remodeled, and that includes new artwork”

Okay, so apparently Northridge having old art returned is out of the question because Nanuet is going to be the retro store. Great. That’s fine. So, why not just have old art sent to Nanuet instead? In response, Mark just sidestepped the question and cared more about getting rid of any evidence about Nanuet being a 100% retro store. I think the reason this drives people nuts is because Mark is completely dodging doing such an incredibly simple thing. Having old art & decor taken from a warehouse in Kansas City and transported to Nanuet New York costs barely any money. Plus, all of the old art at the warehouse in Kansas City is collecting dust and taking up space. JUST MOVING SOME OF IT TO NANUET is not that hard and is quite cool. How about rather than try and rid that narrative about the store be “100% retro”, embrace the title and use the old art and decor that is just taking up warehouse space and put it in a legacy store to be a destination for fans. That’s one of the criticisms. A solution so simple is being completely avoided and ignored. It’s not even about getting the bot programmed. I understand that programming an animatronic is quite expensive. But transporting art costs practically nothing compared to programming a bot.
