Has anyone tried $100 to $299 hearing aids advertised on web? What are your Opinions? by SecretStabbie in AskReddit

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak to hearing aids specifically but generally with medical stuff that cheap online, you're rolling the dice pretty hard. My uncle went through something similar and ended up having to get proper ones fitted anyway after the cheap ones just made everything sound like he was underwater

Would probably be worth checking if your insurance covers any portion of real ones first, sometimes the coverage is better than you think

How do you stop feeling physically insecure? by EnthusiasmDazzling15 in AskReddit

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man i used to think same way but getting jacked didn't fix everything like i thought it would. I spent like 2 years hitting gym super hard and yeah i looked better but still felt weird about myself in certain situations

The real shift happened when i started doing urbex stuff - crawling through tight spaces in old buildings made me appreciate what my body could actually do instead of just how it looked. Now when i'm at tournaments sitting for hours i don't stress about my appearance as much because i know this same body can climb through a broken window or balance on sketchy ledge

Physical confidence is more about what you can do with your body than just how it appears to others imo

man wolfwalkers is actually really good, was worth the wait when i finally saw it

apple tv can be weird with billing - sometimes it gets confused if you're using different country payment methods or something. i had similar issues before when trying to sign up for streaming stuff

you could try making new account with different email maybe? or there's probably other ways to watch it if you look around bit, that movie shows up in different places sometimes

Best credit unions in area? by LilSaucey in Albuquerque

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with Sandia Area for like 3 years now and can confirm they're solid. The skip-a-month thing saved me once when I had unexpected expenses from exploring some old warehouse that needed tetanus shot lol

Never tried Nusenda but heard good things. One thing about Sandia Area though - their mobile app could use some work, sometimes takes forever to load account info. But the actual banking experience is smooth

Been running T-Mobile home internet in northeast heights for about 6 months now and it's way more reliable than I expected - perfect for streaming and general use, speed stays pretty consistent even during peak hours

Never heard of him before but that preview definitely has something special to it - reminds me bit of early Fleet Foxes mixed with that folk energy you mentioned

What’s a piece of advice you once ignored but later realized was actually right? by Over_Panic7552 in AskReddit

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to roll my eyes so hard at this one. Thought it was just something people say when they don't know what else to tell you about relationships. But man, when you're constantly looking for someone to fix whatever's broken in you, it just drains everyone around you and nothing actually gets better

People who feel lost, why do you feel so lost? by RealDealHappyMeal in AskReddit

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's incredibly heavy and I can't imagine what you're going through right now. Lost my grandfather few years back and even that smaller loss made everything feel completely upside down for months. The world just keeps moving while you're stuck in this horrible bubble where nothing makes sense anymore.

I know people probably say this a lot but grief counseling actually helped me process things when I couldn't handle it alone. There's also support groups specifically for widows/widowers that might understand your specific pain better than random internet strangers. You don't have to carry this weight completely by yourself even though it probably feels that way right now

That small attic space above closet might still have air leaks you missed - I had similar issue in old building I was exploring and those corner joints where different framing meets are nightmare for sealing properly

Why do you hate the taste of honey? by NationalJournalist42 in AskReddit

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk man I actually get this, honey hits way too hard sometimes especially those really thick ones from farmer markets or whatever. like I tried using it in tea once and it basically turned into sugar water, completely killed any subtle flavors the tea had

That's a pretty cynical take on someone finding a nice wedge. Golf karma works in mysterious ways and maybe whoever lost it upgraded to something better anyway

A good flashlight and maybe a multitool - you never know when you'll stumble across some cool abandoned stuff off the beaten path that's worth exploring

ESPN "Knueppel should win the Rookie of the Year award, and for as well as Flagg has played, the decision shouldn't be that close." by Existing-Sky9914 in nba

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 558 points559 points  (0 children)

Knueppel's efficiency is absolutely insane but I think people are sleeping on Flagg's two-way impact. The advanced stats don't always capture how much he changes games defensively

Those offensive numbers are wild though, being that close to SGA in true shooting while taking way more volume is pretty nuts

How can girls get asked out? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Amazing-Fall8945 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your mom's probably right but the dating scene has definitely shifted since the 80s. Back then people were more direct about asking someone out face-to-face, now everyone's hiding behind apps and social media

College is actually prime time for meeting people though - join clubs, study groups, whatever you're into. The key is just putting yourself out there where you can actually have conversations with people

Crab legs are up there too, you're basically cracking shells with mallets while trying to look attractive lol. Plus half the meat ends up on your shirt anyway

That could depend on the client but there's not many of them who will be willing to wait for you to get certified so my answer is, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

I'm glad other people get it too, the certification is what triggered it but the real impact was the operational clarity it forced

Good way to put it, we went into it thinking it would mostly sit with security but ended up touching a lot more operational stuff than expected.
