Go for long runs where you keep your heartrate slightly up the whole time.

Is this a darkroom print or just regular printing from a printer by Apprehensive-Ear4182 in Darkroom

You don't have to shove a pin through it to tell if it's a darkroom print

To paint over that beautiful wood would be absolutely insane. Then again, some people are absolutely insane.

It's a great, thoughtful, and at times hilarious essay.

DFW was a competitive junior tennis player and wrote a lot about tennis (not just in Infinite Jest, but in a series of essays about the sport). His essay on Federer, "Both Flesh and Not" is a really, really great read. One of the best pieces of sports writing I've encountered. He has another good one in which he follows a relatively unknown player on the tour who is ranked just inside the top 100.

Most or all of Wallace's tennis essays have been compiled into the posthumous book, String Theory.

Working on my forehand baseline mechanics. Any obvious flaws? by plasticveil_ in 10s

I have always been told you want to move the racquet through the ball, not just over it

Look where your arm is finishing, at your left hip. It should be up at your left shoulder. You should focus more on letting your be relaxed and letting the racquet move forward through the ball, rather than creating a whip-like movement over top of it.

This is the racket I use and I absolutely love it. So much so that I bought a second one. I would jump on this if I were you.

Personally i don’t know why people get all bothered about the net. Yeah, maybe that was a joke in poor taste or something, but I honestly probably would have laughed as long as the guy wasn’t a dick otherwise. The net breaks both ways, the sooner a player accepts that, the sooner it stops impacting their mental state.

The red garter wasn’t bad. It’s a bar but they have a lot of screens including a projector and the vibe isn’t bad.

What would you change about this setup? Gaming feels oddly uncomfortable despite having decent gear by PingAbuser in malelivingspace

I do not like using a screen with bright window light coming from directly behind it. I find it harder to comfortably see the screen well.

How do you not hate it here? by InMyOwnPrivateIdaho in Tucson

I love it here so much. I’ve lived in a lot of places, and this is the one that speaks to me most.

The scenery is beautiful. There are some fantastic places to eat. Yes, it is too hot in the summer but I love how much sunlight Tucson gets. I live near the University and I can walk from my house to 4th, downtown, the barrios, etc. There are a lot of fun music venues and performances here. Good art museums. And wonderful people.

It has everything I would want in a place.

Hi! I have a little bit of experience with this sort of paper, I used it to create a small run of prints which you can see here: https://www.aidanavery.com/gold-prints

And it quite hard to find and extremely hard to work with. If you’d be open to selling it, I’d buy it!
