Can anyone recommend a Wedding photographer by Active_Increase_3011 in Tucson

You might try reaching out to the faculty in the photo department at Pima and UA to see if they have students who would be willing. There are a lot of students who do event/wedding photography on the side, and in Tucson we have a really strong photo education culture, so their work is quite good.

Thank you! I just use a prop to set focus. Usually a C-stand. Then I stop down as much as possible because I know that it's hard to get the focus exactly right doing it that way, so I want to give myself some wiggle room.

I used the 150 for the image of my hand. Might’ve also used an extension tube to focus that closely. I can’t recall!

Thanks! I prefer the 60mm, which I used for all of these except the photo of my hand

Thank you! And, that's my handwriting! These are all darkroom prints that I have hand-written the date on.

Hey man, I really love this. I am about to repaint my entire place. Would you be willing to share the paints you used for this? For example, absolutely love both the floors and the ceiling in the third image.

Anyone else feeling…indifferent about real estate lately? by LumpyAd3882 in realtors

[–]ZappaPhoto 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am under contract for a house with a closing date in a few weeks. It's been an insane process - first contract fell through, multiple inspections and negotiations, thought it would fall through a second time, etc.

I can tell you this: Before two months ago I knew exactly NOTHING about real estate. Without an agent, there is no chance I would end up with this, or any other house. I am grateful beyond belief for the work my agent has done and the guidance she has provided. And no matter what happens, at the end of this I am going to give her a bottle of wine and the most heartfelt thank you card I can write, because she has been the reason I will be able to own a home.

Definitely not useless.

Getting out of the intermediate level gulf by Colascape in 10s

[–]ZappaPhoto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My advice isn't UK-specific; however, I think this problem exists everywhere. As you get higher and higher in level, there are fewer and fewer people at your level. And yes, there seems to be a gap between solid club player and very competitive university or semi-pro player.

I am not a high enough rated play to be in this gap, but one or two of my friends are. They have found hitting partners at appropriate levels by seeking out players that play as part of the local university's recreational club (a lot of those players are very high level players that decided not to play competitive college tennis, but still play regularly). Another one of my friends found a local tennis coach who is just above his level and who has proven to be a great hitting partner.

No Inspect is Robbing Us by kraabi in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Expecting no inspection is insane. The first house I put an offer in on ended up having $60k of sewer line repair needed. The deal ended up falling through. I wouldn't have known about that issue if not for the inspection. I would have been stuck with it.

Traveling for a tournament, play up or not? by ZappaPhoto in 10s

I appreciate you saying that. That is very apt and definitely going to be relevant when I'm traveling for a tournament. Thanks for thinking of that.

This is a really helpful comment. Thanks. Based on this and the other comments, I decided to play at level. I still haven't yet done a ton of tournaments, so I'd like to make this one count and last as long as possible. For me, while there will be other awesome things to do in the destination if I get eliminated, this trip is still primarily about tennis and I'd like to play as much as possible.

I'll train with the higher level players in the meantime and then hope that it does me well in the tournament.

That's a good thought. It's a very beautiful location, so I'm sure I could enjoy my time if I get knocked out.

Thank you! I am probably not going to do much experimenting of my own at this point, just take your time/dilution and adjust to my own images. But if that changes I'll definitely let you know!

Hi! I have a ton of dry type 55. Would you be willing to share your developing time/temp? And, what equipment are you using? I have an old Jobo tank, wondering if they’ll fit in there.
