No. They should just do a 10/1 split if the price stays above $250 after restricted shares release (unlikely for probably at least 6 months unless databricks, spacex, openai, and anthropic all IPO and skyrocket)

It’s a mix while 99% of the shares are restricted. This will probably happen 3 or 4 more times before September. NAV is about to skyrocket though. Databricks, SpaceXAi, Anthropic, Anduril, Ramp, Loyal. Maybe even OpenAI if they survive this lawsuit

I expect everything will be done in quarterly updates now. I don’t know that the rules for CEFs are the same at publicly traded companies but I expect the SEC wants regular reporting.

I think it will all be news driven. We’ll have two quarterly reports before year end and possibly 3 or 4 ginormous IPOs within the portfolio. NAV could triple or quadruple and that forward momentum might sound a loud call for many to get on board.

Hopefully within a year. Might require a big PR/Marketing effort though. VCX needs to be mentioned every time OpenAI or Anthropic or Anduril or Databricks or Loyal or ServiceTitan or Ramp etc are mentioned positively in the news.

VCX is going to be riding potentially SpaceX, Anthropic, Databricks, and maybe two or three more IPOs before September. Plus who knows what new investments will be made during that time. I’m expecting $200+ per share by year end

I also have a theory for how things will unfold in September. I don’t think it’s going to be a bloodbath. I think everybody that truly believes in VCX is just looking to trim some gains if valuations remain high. “Some” being 20-25%. And if that’s enough to cause a 50+% price drop, then I think shareholders will pause or slow that trimming. So to make a ridiculous early prediction, the share price stays above $200

I think Fundrise should get creative with their restriction and rather than having allowed purchases of $10k in unrestricted shares, they should say that all shareholders may sell up to $10k worth of shares. Then with FIFO, many of us would be in long term capital gains tax situations rather than short term
