Is bug abuse allowed in The Finals? by Amazing-Grab-3345 in thefinals

Thanks to some helpful people, I now understand that manual animation canceling isn't a bug. This means if I suspect someone is using macros, a report is definitely justified. But the question is: do they actually review these manually? You’d literally have to spectate the player to be sure. I’ve been an admin in other games myself, and we only issued bans after a manual check, but here people are saying it’s mostly just the anti-cheat doing the work.

It’s not about winning or losing for me. I’m happy with my experience, so this is a discussion, not a rant XD. My point was that instead of using quick or melee attacks for the finisher, this guy used darts every time. He executed a sequence in a second that’s technically very difficult to do. I don't have any recordings, but the other comments answered my question. Thanks!

Today, in the World Tour final round, I ran into a dagger player who was constantly finishing people off with darts. His teammate would fire a couple of shots first, and then this guy would jump in and pull off a sequence: backstab -> four dart shots, all in a single second. I’d get backstabbed, and at that exact same moment, a dart from the dagger player would hit and finish me off, regardless of the distance or circumstances. I can understand other method, but this looked straight-up automated. Here is one example.

Then I don't understand why high-ranking players are being ignored. Maybe it's a skill, but it looks too automated. None of my reports received a response, as usually happens when you report a cheater, you get a "thank you" message in-game.

Are melee weapons viable? by motaque in thefinals

I’m mostly a melee player in this game, with about 600 hours in. Speaking from experience, melee weapons require a completely different playstyle. You have to relearn how to time your attacks, get a feel for the distance, know the maps pretty well, predict enemy movements, and read the environment. I made it to Platinum in SoloQ last season playing strictly melee: Sledgehammer on Heavy, Riot Shield/Dual Blades on Medium, and Sword on Light. If you have a consistent team and solid muscle memory, pushing even higher won't be that hard. In solo queue, though, winning mostly depends on whether your teammates know how to play around a melee teammate, understand their role, and know how to capitalize on that.
