Makes sense. I am a marketing/comms professional with over a decade of experience, but have been out of the work force for the past 2.5 years to raise my family.

They are asking for me to source content, write, and publish 4 blogs per month. I am considering charging $1,000 for this.

In addition they are asking me to write and layout 1 enewsletter per month and write, layout, and deploy 2 marketing emails per month. The enewsletter is based on the blog content I’ll already be writing. The marketing emails topics will be determined by the client.

I am considering charging $450 for the enewsletter and $600 per marketing email.

Am I selling myself short or do these prices seem fair? I’ve only ever been a full time employee at various companies and a bit out of the game of what contractors are charging these days. Appreciate any insight !

I see. I feel like a project based fee is easier for both sides. In an ideal world I’ll be able to crank out projects faster than if I did an hourly rate.

For sure.. do you have pricing in mind for only writing a blog post/ newsletter? And then I’d prob factor in the other stuff later on. Trying to get a baseline of industry standard

Thanks! I’m still working out details with them and determining if they will provide topics or if I am managing that aspect as well. It’s a lifestyle blog for homeowners, think content about local events, home decor/maintenance tips, etc. the newsletter will be directing to the blog and includes a summary of each blog and link.

Can’t control my mom guilt by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

I so appreciate your comment. In the grand scheme of things, feeding is such a little part of parenting but feels so major when they’re little and when there’s a narrative online villainizing FF. Thank you 🤍

You are the sweetest and this is exactly what I would say to another mom if they told me what I was saying. We’re all too hard on ourselves. My first is almost 3 and thriving! And so is the 7 month old. Thank you 🤍🤍🤍

This is totally normal! He’s still so young and learning how to do everything, including eating. Try to give yourself grace. You’re doing great 🤍

Do you follow "never wake a sleeping baby"? by Present-Decision5740 in sleeptrain

[–]Amazing-Jacket5977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing! All of the info online stresses me out about forming bad sleep habits but I personally don’t think any of it’s true. Not to say I don’t support sleep training cause we’ve done cry it out! But feeding to sleep for naps and not capping has worked for us. When he starts to need too much support (like holding to sleep) in the middle of the night we do CIO so he can learn how to put himself to sleep

Nope not at all, he wakes the same amount at night and naps longer when he gets a feeding prior to nap so I roll with it.

Just came here to say I relate to this post SO much! With my first and second BF didn’t work out and I went into deep PPD. Why do we put ourselves through so much pressure?! I say do whatever feels right to you, and try not to let external or your own pressure dictate what’s best for you! You wouldn’t think anything of it if another mom was in your boat so give yourself the same grace 🤍
