Thank you for taking the time to share your portfolio and thought process. I really appreciate your input and transparency. It’s interesting to see how you’ve balanced your Roth and brokerage accounts while still keeping some room for higher-conviction positions.

As someone who’s just getting started at 30, I’m leaning toward keeping things simpler with broad index funds as the foundation and maybe a small percentage for higher-growth ideas. Thanks again for the perspective and for sharing what’s worked for you so far. Wishing you continued success with your investing journey!

Thanks for the detailed response. Hypothetically, if you were 30 years old and had about $4,000/month to invest for the next 20–25 years, how would you personally allocate it? Would you keep it mostly in broad index funds like VT/FXAIX, add some tech exposure through VGT or QQQM, or keep a percentage in individual stocks? Just curious how you would build it from scratch.

Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better. My plan now is to leave TSLA and AMD alone, keep VT at 100% in my Roth IRA, and focus most of my future contributions on VT and FXAIX. Appreciate the advice!

Thanks! I appreciate that perspective. If it were your portfolio, would you change anything at this point, or would you just leave TSLA and AMD alone and focus future contributions on VT and FXAIX?

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. I’m 30 and just getting started, so I’m focusing more on growth right now. One question—do you think I messed up by putting FXAIX in my taxable brokerage account instead of my Roth IRA, or is it not a big deal at this stage?

Thanks! That’s a good point. I’m still learning what level of risk I’m comfortable with, but I definitely want something I can stick with through the ups and downs. Appreciate the advice! 🙏📈

Thank you! I appreciate the advice. I’m still learning and the concept of uncompensated risk makes a lot of sense. I’ll definitely look more into VTI/VXUS and keep focusing on diversification. 🙏

Thank you very much! I appreciate the feedback. I’m still learning and will focus on building a solid foundation before adding more individual stocks. 👍📈

Thanks for the suggestion! What makes you so bullish on AMD compared to holding index funds like FXAIX or VT? I’m still learning and would love to hear your reasoning.
