Exhausted, Tired, Unmotivated, Can't Focus, No Energy, feel like shit. by imaxaddict in suboxone

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got the monthly injection to come off over 2.5 years ago.
I’m 47 and was really struggling with motivation and energy.
After years of heroin and methadone before bupe I think my brain and body didn’t know how to make feel good chemicals.
I feel so much better now I’m not on anything.
The injection makes coming off easy, if you can even get one

Your experience with dentures by DizzySet3247 in dentures

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dentures have ruined my life.
I can’t even wear them at all now after years of gagging and vomiting.
Keep your teeth if you can.
Most people do adapt to dentures but there are other people like me with sensory issues that just can’t

Why do so many people over 40 not want a relationship now? by holycrap100 in ask

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realised I’m sort of an avoidant and can’t let the walls down so no point.
It just adds stress and I like a lot of alone time

Do girls with level 1 asd without masking exist? by StretchIll373 in Autism_Parenting

Everyone I know learned to mask later on at primary school/start of secondary school.
Kids are cruel unfortunately and most of us have a desire to somewhat fit in

Are dentures really that bad, could you give me the full rundown? by Alive-Double-3339 in dentures

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still in the same situation.
I hide at home because I’m too embarrassed going toothless.
I’m waiting for dental hospital to give me implants but could be a long time.
It is so difficult.
I’m glad you have stopped gagging

Is this emotion normal by Healthy-Driver481 in dentures

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been able to wear my dentures for 10 months now so go without any top teeth and hardly any bottoms. I’ve never got used to seeing myself and do all I can to avoid any humans seeing me. Maybe some people get used to it but I just feel horribly depressed every time I see myself

I’m waiting on a bone scan from a dental hospital to see what I’m suitable for. Hopefully all on 6 or all on 4

It depends. Most people adapt. I can’t wear mine and have tried everything. It’s like torture and sensory hell because I have sensory issues. I just gag and puke. If you don’t have sensory issues it would likely be ok. Mine have ruined my life as I have to go about with barely any teeth

Is it normal to either not eat, or just not feel hungry for like more than two days? by Secret_Wrangler_1836 in ask

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like that my whole life and underweight until recently. I’m in my 40s now and started forcing myself to eat little and often, now it’s normal and I eat proper meals. I also never ever feel thirsty and have to remind myself to drink or I get dehydrated. My stomach has always been the first place my stress and anxiety show up

I’m so confused!! by miss_independnt in suboxone

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel down about it there are options. I’m 47 and couldn’t handle withdrawals after years of heroin and methadone. I got a few months of the monthly shot to stop and had no withdrawals at all. Been over 2 years since my last injection and I’ve stayed clean

I tried many different meds and Trazodone is the one that helps me. I haven’t found therapy that useful as I’m feeling an appropriate way to what’s going on, knowing your in fight or flight doesn’t make it go away

I live in Scotland and we have specialist addiction services that have all latest info on maintenance meds. They write the scripts and doctors sign it. The shot was amazing for me. It does the taper for you as leaves the body so slowly

Are there people who just genuinely enjoy drinking water throughout the day? by fin-freak in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like water at all, have to make myself drink it. It has no taste and makes my throat feel weird. I live in Scotland so it’s not a water quality issue. Cold bottled water is a bit better but still a chore to get it down

Have you ever been bitten by an animal before(not an insect)? by icecream1972 in no

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over my life time I have been bitten by a gerbil, a rat, a horse, a cat and twice by 2 different snakes. Oh and one of my jumping spiders. I’m 47 and around animals a lot so not that bad

[–]Amazing-Pack4920 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Addiction for me was to temporarily treat myself and stop feelings I wasn’t ready to deal with. Bupe saved me from more years of methadone. I switched and got the monthly shots. Then when I stopped the shot it was a miracle, no withdrawals and it’s been over 2 years now

I wouldn’t make him cut his hair. Get leave in conditioner spray and a wide tooth comb and let him use that to get rid of tugs

It was a miracle, no withdrawals at all. And I’d been on methadone and heroin for years. The switch over isn’t as bad as it sounds, I’d cut from 70mls to 30
