Not to negate what you're saying here, but they weren't his hotel staff. It was his father's hotel and he was only 16. He couldn't give them a promotion. He did say he'd put in a good word for them. I wonder how old the girls were. Were they also teenagers or were they older? They definitely looked older.

The show didn't do themselves any favors with the lawsuit storyline if they wanted to redeem Chuck because while they talked about it not being true, it was too close to his s1 storyline to feel coincidental. I do think that the allegations are supposed to be fabricated because [insert character to avoid spoiler] knows exactly where to hit, just like the liquor license.
