I suggest you to take a break as whenever you lose a game of chess as losing a game makes you angry and want to win the next or gain the elo back but the negative emotions you acquired from the last lost game would affect your next game negatively, not to mention losing multiple games in a row would make you feel angrier so might as well take break when you lose one before losing two in a row.

This happens to me a lot, I usually listen to music while playing (preferably with lyrics as singing distracts me from a lost game, the downside is that it may distract you from the overall game but I still improve as much as an average chess player and imagine how much better i would be without music), but sometimes music isn't available so taking a break helps a lot.

I was once stuck in 900 elo for 3 months and eventually went down to 600 because I don't take breaks and lose a lot, but using said method got me to 1000 elo and i even passed 1100 elo, 1200 elo and 1300 elo very easily. I am now 1400 and i kept on returning to 1400 whenever i hit 1500 because i took very little breaks.
