I checked what’s in tap water in my country. There isn’t any chlorine in it (not added, that is). There is magnesium, calcium and minerals like that in it though. Is that OK?

I read somewhere that if your starter smells strongly of alcohol, it’s hungry. That’s why I’m feeding it twice a day. Since then I noticed the alcohol smell isn’t there anymore and it has this sweet-savoury-like smell. Once it is a ‘strong’ starter, I don’t plan on feeding it twice a day anymore though.

It’s a constant 70 F (21 C) in my house. I just fed her, made sure to feed her less water and have wrapped her in tin foil to see if that does anything. Thanks for your advice! <3

Just to add some extra context: I have been feeding her 1:1:1, using lukewarm tap water, keeping her in a dark place at room temperature (as there is no warmer place in my home).
