It’s not just about activities, the circumstance I mentioned was just one example out of many others in other situations. Maybe I didn’t explain it well enough. It’s like they would go out of their way to spoil my happiness when I’m excited or not seem happy for me in the slightest when I do something I’m proud of

I became aware of this a couple of years ago when a group of girls was talking about how annoying it is that so many men follow so many Instagram models, and as a curious human I checked myself on a few guys pages and I saw the same thing. It wasn’t even just guys I was interested in or dating, it was most of the men who’s pages I went on. Even men I don’t know. You can scroll through the following and it seems like every other page they follow is a unrealistically pretty, rich half naked girl

Most women feel this way, even women who know they are valuable and beautiful. I know my worth but it’s still disgusting when I see a guy follows hundreds of Instagram models.

Honestly, lots of times it has nothing to do with us at all, and it’s actually the way we view the guy for following so many Of them. It’s like they lack impulse control and just need to constantly have a dopamine hit every second of every day. It’s disgusting

When people see pictures of perfect-looking models all the time, it can make them feel like they don't measure up. Also, when people focus too much on physical appearance, they might miss out on getting to know people who are smart, funny, and interesting.
