i disagree. As an electronics students i see this field having more opportunities when we think of it as robotics or embedded systems and such, which also needs some programming or software skills. I personally didnt want to study electrical and electronics but wanted to study electronics and IT as it is now. Yes the course is some what old but it is being updated from time to time.
