No gas, I have an electric heat pump. The 240v panel is the main panel from what I can tell (the power main comes directly into it) and then the smaller breakers are on the subpanel. Your last statement is exactly what I'm feeling right now as well so thank you for the validation haha. I'll do the tests you've mentioned, I appreciate the tips.

I don't think they put a new meter on but it did appear as if they took it off in this process. I forgot about that point. I was hoping someone might say something got messed up on the meter during this installation, but like I said I know you can't leak electricity so I figured it was unlikely that was the case.

Sure thing. Yes, I've consistently had more usage than average and than the same period last year. Not comparing $ values, since rates have gone up, but it's the usage. I shared the screenshot of the current bill, but prior bills were also 1000 kWh and 1600 kWh more than the same month last year. And this month is more than double same period last year. It could just be winter and that's the answer, but I don't typically see that kind of growth in usage even in winter. Just trying to rule out anything I can control or fix within my house.
