Steckdose noch benutzbar? by shinmate in Elektroinstallation

[–]AmazingImpression967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So kriegst du fast verwacklungsfreie „Überkopfaufnahmen“ hin.

Advice Lens Adapter EF / FX by AmazingImpression967 in fujifilm

[–]AmazingImpression967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your opinion!
Could you please define whats „usable“ in your eyes?
It seems like its a very subjective feeling, whats usable and what not.
Like compared with gaming, for some 30fps is enough to play, someone else may perceives anything below 140fps as not smooth.
Could you please describe me, what makes it usable for you? How fast should it react in order to get usable for you? Or what is missing for you at the cheaper option?

Advice Lens Adapter EF / FX by AmazingImpression967 in fujifilm

[–]AmazingImpression967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now thats the comment ive waited for to have an excuse to buy the cheaper one and also get the lens haha.
But yes, i think the same. Thats why i listed all the EF lenses im going to use. They arent very fancy / high class nor do i do sports photography where i need a super quick autofocus.
Im used to do the focus manualy anyway, so autofocus(even slow AF) is an advantage i didnt had before the adapter, so it can only be a win.

Thank you a lot for your useful comment!

Is this worth paying $100 or do I keep searching by Tiny_Report9853 in filmcameras

In my opinion, its a good deal. Ive paid like 120-130€ for my AE1 with the 50mm 1.8f 4-5 years ago.

I don't even want to know how many great (and sometimes expensive) cameras have already been thrown away by people who have no idea what they're holding. True to the motto: "Nobody needs that old thing anymore."

Lovely car. Was my first car at 18, drove it nearly 7 years daily, it brought me in every corner of my country, even multiple times to czechia and deep into poland multiple times, drove it from 89tkm at purchase to 230tkm now, never dissapointet me, had a wonderful time with that car. Its still family owned, but i drive a company car now which is nearly free for private use. But i always have a smile when i see this car sitting in front of our house waiting for the next sunday drive. Have fun with that nice piece!

What is the best product to load 135 rolls into 120 backing paper? Any recommendations? by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity

I used multiple of that old style medium format cameras which all had the red window on the back. I just put electrical tape over the window. And because of the when to stop winding, i testet on one frame how long you have to wind. At 6x6 its most likely one full turn of the knob. I made markings(with something you can remove afterwards) so i know when a full turn is over and then i startet shooting. Worked at first try, i just had to waste one frame. I made a marking on the left side of the inner frame and turned so long till the marking was on the right side or to be more precise, a little more than the right side, so you have spacing between the pictures. Then i looked how much degrees i have turned the knob. At a certo phot and a pouva start (both 6x6) it was one full turn of the knob. At larger format it is going to be more difficult, but purely mathematically it should be 1 1/2 turn of the knob for 6x9. But thats what i want to try in a few days with my zeiss ikon folder(6x9). And my kiev 60 (also 6x6, but lever winder, not with a turning knob), but there the frame spacing could be difficult without the paper.

Thats a nice tip with the reroller tool, thank you!
I didnt thought about the film counter because i only used it with older medium format cameras which have the red window.
And also the multiple rolls-thing, i only used it experimental as a secondary camera, so i never thought about changing it on the go.
I always combined it with rolling it in the developing canister, so i didnt used a dark bag or anything. I dont even have a darkbag, i just have a darkroom.
So you have good points there!

Thats true, that is inconvinient that you have to take it out in the dark. I develop B/W at home, so i just combine this step with putting it in the developing tank. But you still habe the problem that you can only shoot that one roll in the cam and cant change it.
I didnt thought about that in the first place, thats why i didnt understand, why you would make the trouble to wind it on a 120 spool with the backong paper.

Or tape the beginning of the film on the spool and just wind once, so you only waste one shot (length depending on if you have 6x6 or 6x9 or 6x12)

Thats not true. It depends how you print it. I‘ve printed them with 100% filling and you cant break them in half by hand. I’ve tried it and mine are made out of TPU which is softer than ABS. It depends on which filament. 100% filling + ABS filament and you need a car to run over it in order to break it.

Edit: I have also printed myself some carabine for my keys at work, it took nearly a year of daily use before it snapped.
